Chapter 5: Spring Day

Yoojung's POV

Today is my official first day as a Big Hit talent. Part of my contract states that before my debut as a solo artist, one whole year will be allotted for further training sessions to improve my skills, and exposures such as variety show appearances,opening acts for concerts, etc.

I've always been insecure about my vocal skills. People say that I have stable vocals but that's it. I want to improve it so that I could have full confindence during live stages, specially now that i'll be performing alone. I suddenly become sad again. But NO. Training first, feelings later!!

For today I have vocal training then, dance training. I was just about to enter the vocal practice room when I recieved an e-mail from my manager.

From: Manager Kim

Yoojung, your teachers for vocals and dance will not be showing up today. Here are the tasks they left for you today

Vocals: Study Spring day by BTS, present it with a different arrangement on our next session, ask help from others if needed.

Dance: Study the choreography of Spring day, modify the choreography to fit the new song arrangement that you will make. To be performed on our next session.

Are they for real??? The next session is in 3 days? How will I'll be able to make a new song arrangement for Spring Day? The dance is easy but to make a new arrangement??? HOW?

Okay calm down Yoojung, you can do this.

I decided to go to a cafe across our building so that I could begin to plan for my assignment.

My vocal coach from fantagio mentioned that my voice is very fit for acoustic songs. I will use that to my advantage. I can play the piano a little, maybe that will be good enough.

After planning I went to the vocal training rooms so that I could start practicing. I searched for the chords used for the song online and began praticing the piano part.

It's been so long since I played the piano and I was a little rusty so it took me the whole day just to practice for that. It was already 10pm when I was able to play the whole song without mistakes. Now I just need to practice singing it together with the piano.

I was so engaged with practicing I forgot to eat. The last meal I ate was a bagel while I was at the cafe and that was at 9 am. I decided to take a break and buy some food first.

On the way to the Cafeteria, I bumped into Jin Oppa, Suga Sunbae, and Jungkook Sunbae.

I said hi and greeted them

"Oh! Yoojung ah! You'r still here?" Jin Oppa

"Yes, my teachers decided to give me a very hard task and I have to practice reallt hard because I'm not good at it." I unconsciously pouted while saying that.

"You left the dorm very early, just continue that tomorrow, take a rest first. We're going back to the dorm now, just come with us I'll drive" Jin Oppa offered. He looks genuinely concerned.

Well that is really convenient for me, I won't have to ride the taxi alone.

"Okay but I have a question, and a request." I responded

"What?" Jin Oppa Asked

"Is the piano at the living room functional? And can we please get food on the way to the dorm, any drive through will do pleaseeee" I asked politely and maybe added a bit of aegyo so that he would say yes to mh request

"I don't know if it works, I never checked. Do you guys know? He asked Jungkook sunbae and Suga subae.

"Yup, it functions well, I use it from time to time" Suga sunbae responded
