"Hi honey! Ooh something smells good" my mom says as she walks in.
"Yeah, honey" my dad says, giving me a kiss on the cheek.
Then, I see Jake, and he is holding flowers.
"I'll be right back" I say, stuttering a bit.
Once I get outside, I shut the door.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know they'd be here" I whisper to Jake.
"It's okay, I'll leave, but take these" Jake says, handing me the beautiful red roses.
"Thank you, so much" I softly say, accepting the flowers, and then smelling them.
Jake walks back towards his rusty blue truck, and I walk inside.
"Who are they from" my sister asks.
"Oh, I got them for you guys, I just hid them outside" I say, handing them to my mom.
"Thanks baby" she says, and then goes to grab a vase to put the roses in.
"Sis, can I talk to you?" Lana asks.
"Of course" I reply.
Lana drags me into her room. Her room is so different from me. Legit everything is pink in her room.
"So who are they actually from" Lana whispers.
"I told you, I got them for you guys" I respond, rolling my eyes.
Lana pops out her hip and puts her hand on it, looking all sassy.
"If you have a secret mancandy you can tell me" Lana says.
"I don't, Jared and I broke up so now I'm done with boys" I reply, faking a sad look.
"Aw, little sis, I'm so sorry" Lana hugs me, and then I feel a bit bad, but I need to lie for now.
"It's okay" I reply.
"I'm over him" I add.
"Great" Lana smiles.
I walk out of her room and there my parents are eating the meal I had prepared for Jake.
"This is great, darling! Come eat with us" my mom says, waving her hands at me to go there.
"Okay" I reply, walking other there, Lana behind me.
We eat with no sign of my parents thinking I'm keeping something from them. I know that they'll react badly to me dating Jake, they without a doubt, hate bad boys.

My text tone for Jake goes off.

Aww, okay give me five minutes to see if I can go out ~me
I drop my phone and walk to the kitchen.
"Uhm, Lana?" I say.
"Hey! I'm about to go out, need anything?" Lana asks, grabbing keys from the counter.
