Entry 38: Esoteric Documents - Delaney_Interview.txt - 03/18

Start from the beginning

Chevron: Of course. Like you, we only desire to know the truth.

Sanders: That's good to hear. And though I have not yet arrived at this truth, I want to believe this meeting would push me in the right direction.

Heath: As do we.

Sanders: Okay then, let's begin. Agent Henry Delaney, could you please state your name and age for the record?

Delaney: ...

Sanders: Agent Delaney?

Delaney: ...

Sanders: Delaney, can you hear me?

Delaney: ...

Leon: Like I said earlier, his psyche is fractured.

Heath: This is why we did not consent to your earlier requests for an interview.

Sanders: Does he respond at all?

Kojiro: On occasion. But his speech pattern is unusual, erratic and formless. When seemingly lucid, he may speak of ambiguous and abstract concepts. Other times, he's appears to be having waking dreams or hallucinations. But typically, he's mute. Sometimes catatonic.

Sanders: This...psychological fracturing was from the last Pine Street incident, correct?

Kojiro: Correct.

Sanders: And no one has been able to get through to him since then?

Price: No. Even telepathic probing is ineffective.

Sanders: Really?

Kojiro: His mind is completely walled off. Establishing a connection has been impossible. Dr. Moses has been attempting to correct this, but so far, there has been no progress.

Sanders: If I may ask, Dr Moses, what exactly have you been doing to...correct this?

Moses: ...

Heath: I do not believe the nature of Dr. Moses' work is up for discussion today. Let us try to focus on the reason we're gathered here.

Sanders: Really. Is there something about Dr. Moses' work that I shouldn't know about?

Moses: No. The nature of my work is based on knowledge and concepts that I doubt you'd be familiar with. You would gain nothing even if we were to discuss it.

Sanders: Humor me.

Moses: If you insist. In simplest terms, the primary reason we have been unable to acquire any information from him is that the links through which annex connections - as in, his nex ports, are inert. I have been attempting to reconfigure them in such a way that any one of us can access his memories and reveal more about the happenings on the day of the implosion.

Sanders: Is this experimental, or have you succeeded at this in the past?

Heath: Agent Sanders, please keep your questions related to the purpose of our gathering.

Sanders: Forgive me for prying; I tend to follow any leads I get. And this particular subject matter seemed intriguing.

Moses: I understand. But like Raphael said, let's not get sidetracked.

Sanders: But what am I expected to do, since Delaney is not responding?

Kojiro: Give him time. I'm sure he'll...

Price: He's moving.

Sanders: Agent Delaney?

Delaney: ...
