Scout Preliminary Report.

Scout Unit: A

Date: 25th August, 2010

Time: 19:14

I was called to assess a derelict apartment building on West Hill road in the town of Clinton, following the mysterious disappearance of a police detective, Roderick Jacobs, who was investigating a call regarding a missing girl named Ashley Foster. Jacobs was last seen entering the apartment building at about 5PM today, and a few minutes after, his colleagues failed to establish radio communication.

I arrived at the scene at the above-stated time, under the guise of a sample collector. There was a significant nex disturbance within the building, carrying the signature of a being with chaotic affectation. I assumed it to be a poltergeist, but due to its elusiveness I could not ascertain the location or characteristics of the Anomaly with precision.

Report forwarded to available Affirmation Unit.

Scout Report noted.

We arrived later than anticipated due to the formalities of taking over the case from the local law enforcement, which were not as cooperative as expected due to the nature of the missing person involved. After setting up a restraining barrier, I entered the building. My findings are as follows.

-          No distortions on thermal scans, but strongly adherent nex connections to multiple surfaces of the building, most of which were stained with old blood. The building in itself was in a state of gross disrepair, and based on the level of dirt and cobwebs, has been uninhabited for at least a year. Indiscernible runes were drawn on most of the walls. I have sent the images to Kojiro, and we’re currently awaiting his expert opinion.

-          Air was significantly more humid, with prominent smell of decay. However, no revenants encountered. Suspected the presence of one or more decomposing bodies, but I could not find any, or any alternative source of the odours.

-          There were occasional sounds of movement, but the actual Anomaly was not encountered, even after the use of provocative lures, which led me to infer that it was of a sufficient intelligence level to avoid deception.

Impression: Unknown Anomaly (? High level Poltergeist?) Suspected APT-IC. Exercise caution.

To be managed by Containment Units (referral sent to Raphael Heath)
