Y/n, like every other girl her age, had an inexplicable affinity for butterflies.

Eating them, at least.

But hey, everyone has their quirks, right?

Y/n was partaking in her daily ritual of eating butterflies in the park.

The cronch was indescribable.

Eating butterflies made her feel...

Alive.

You might be asking, 'But isn't this animal cruelty?'

Don't worry, friends, she only ate the dead ones!

Other than butterflies, nothing in Y/n's life brought the same exhilaration and enjoyment to her.

Putting the last butterfly into her mouth, Y/n bit down, just as someone she had never seen before walked past.

He didn't judge her unfairly just because she ate butterflies off of the ground.

Despite her strange habits, he flashed her a smile, something Y/n hadn't gotten in ages.

Seeing his wide shoulders as he walked into the distance, Y/n felt a brand new sensation.

For the first time, she could feel it.

The butterflies in her stomach.
