*The Attack

But luckily she wasn't alone, and stood next to her was her dad, wand raised too and staring at Greyback with a deep seeded hatred

"Levicorpus!"

Greyback dodged it

"Immobulus!"

He dodged that one too

"Stupefy!" Both Lupins cried and it was enough to send him flying into the stone wall behind him

"Crucio!" 

Briar quickly turned around in fear but the curse flew over her head and she realised it had been sent by Bellatrix Lestrange, who was running down the stairs with Snape, more death eaters, and at the back was Malfoy

She didn't have time to even be angry or try follow them, since another killing curse was sent her way, streaking past her head and missing her by inches. So she turned around wand raised to fight whoever sent it and she was surprised to see Theodore Nott there with a twisted smirk

"You little-" she growled "Locomotor Mortis!"

"Rictusempra!"

"Stupefy!"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

"I should have finished you when I had the chance! Tarantallegra!" 

"You never deserved me! Stupefy!"

He blocked the spell "Stupid, filthy, half-breed" he spat "Voldemort will kill you if I don't so you might as well-"

But he never got to finish his sentence because a jinx hit him in the chest and he was sent spiralling across the room, and Briar looked to its origin to see her saviour and was incredibly surprised to see Blaise Zabini stood there with his wand raised

He looked at her and shrugged "He's a dick"

Briar quickly turned her attention to Ginny, who was locked in a fight with Amycus Carrow and it seemed that every curse sent her way missed.

Briar sent a ball of fire at Amycus, who ducked to avoid it, giving Ginny the chance to stun him. But Amycus was quick to regain focus and send another killing curse her way

"Impedimenta!" A voice yelled and Amycus was lifted off his feet and slammed into the oppositewall, slid down it, and fell out of sight. Both teenagers whirled around and to their surprise Harry was there

"Harry, where did you come from?" Ginny cried, but therewas no time to answer her. He put his head down andsprinted forward, narrowly avoiding a blast that erupted overhis head, showering them all in bits of wall.

None of the pieces hit them and Briar realised Harry was going after Snape and the others, so she quickly blocked a curse coming her way and began to run through the fight after him

"Harry!" she shouted as she neared the entrance hall, but he was bolting out of the front doors, so she huffed and picked up her pace to keep up with him

Outside, in the distance they could make out 3 figures on the lawn heading for the gates, but Hagrid had emerged from his hut and was trying to stop them

"Stupefy!" Harry cried, pointing his wand at them, but he missed

"Run, Draco!" Snape shouted

"Impedimenta!" Briar shouted and he blocked it. But at the sound of her voice Draco stopped running and turned around to see that she was also looking at him, while Harry focused on Snape

It seemed that the noise around them disappeared as they stared at each other, and Draco wished he could either run to her, or tell her to go inside. But before he could make a choice there was a loud bang and adancing orange light spilled over all of them: Hagrid's housewas on fire.
