She purchased it immediately and they continued to search for dresses for Ginny and Briar, and after about another hour, they found a lovely one for Ginny.
It was a blue and pink dress that was tight until the waist, where it flared out into a puffy skirt. And the bodice was covered with flowers. She wore it with silver sparkly heels and a blue clutch. It suited her hair and figure very neatly. She also bought it instantly.

And then they spent 2 and 1/2 hours looking for one for Briar, until they finally did,
It was emerald green that had a V neck and had tightened around the waist and went down to her ankles. She decided to wear it with a pair of silver and black heels and a silver clutch.

With all 3 of them having made our purchases, they headed for some butterbeer and then trudged back to the castle. Penny and Ginny collapsed onto their beds, but Briar decided to make her way down to the kitchens for some snacks
But unfortunately on her way she came across Blaise and Draco
Blaise smirked as he took in her dishevelled, tired appearance "Rough day?" He sniggered
"You can bet, we had to search for 5 and 1/2 hours for suitable dresses to wear at the Yule Ball so my feet and arms are killing me" Briar groaned
"Poor you" he chuckled
"Speaking of the Yule Ball, we heard you're going with Theo" Blaise said and Briar missed the angry look in Draco's eyes
"Yeah, who are you 2 going with?" Briar asked curiously since they had never mentioned it
"Pansy" Draco answered and shuddered in disgust
"Daphne" Blaise shrugged
"Well have fun with them" Briar offered. But she knew both Pansy and Daphne were annoying girls, so it wasn't exactly sounding like it would be a fun night for the boys
"We will," Draco said and Briar nodded and began to continue on her way.
She was able to get around two more corners before a hand grabbed her arm, so she jumped around in surprise, and that surprise grew more when she saw it was Draco who had grabbed her
"What?" She asked, tugging her arm out of his grasp
"Are you sure about going with Theo?" He asked in a rush. Truthfully Draco worried that if he didn't say something now, Briar would end up in a bad situation.
"Not that it's any of your business but yes I am" She retorted "Why do you even care? You hate everyone in my house, including me,"
"That's not..." He sighed, dropping his gaze to the floor. The first part was true. The second part wasn't. But she couldn't hear that. "Theo's a dick, that's all,"
"Well he's nice to me" She said "So I'm going with him whether you like it or not" With that she spun on her heel and marched down to the kitchens while Draco stood there frozen. He quickly shook himself out of it and headed back to where Blaise was waiting for him, tossing an apple between his hands and wearing a smirk
"You're jealous aren't you?" He asked his friend
"Shut up," Draco snapped, storming past him. Behind him Blaise just laughed. He knew exactly why Draco was unhappy about Briar going with Theo, but he also knew his stubborn friend was never going to admit the reason why
So until then he was going to continue pestering Draco into admitting how he felt
