Fate Randomness/Bonding Between Nera and Jekyll (With A Twist)

Jekyll noticed that, not believing in Nera's words, "Are you sure that you're fine?"

"Ye-Yeah. Let's just get out of this basement," Nera said while shakily standing up and dusting herself.

Jekyll still did not believed in her words but did not pry any further, "Alright then."

Jekyll started to walk when he felt Nera's hand intertwined his. He looked at his master with concern.

"D-Don't mind me. Let's just get out of here," Nera said, not speaking in her usual tone, while holding Jekyll's hand tightly. Jekyll just oblige then leads the way.

-Living Room-

The master-servant pair have arrived in the living room. Jekyll guided his master to the couch. As soon as they were on the couch, Nera suddenly curled up like a ball while staring what is in front of her. Jekyll noticed Nera's strange behaviour but did not pry it our of her.

"I will get an ice pack for your bump," Jekyll said whil walking away from Nera.

However before he can go further, Nera grabs hold of Jekyll's wrist then said, "Do-Don't leave me!"

Jekyll is worrying about Nera's behaviour. He just sighed then takes a seat beside Nera, "Tell me what's wrong, master."

Jekyll heard a chattering sound coming out of Nera. He thought that she was simply just cold so he removed his jacket off of his shoulders and drape it on Nera's shoulders. However, that did not stop Nera's teeth from chattering and her shivering. There's only one option left. Jekyll pulled Nera closed to him and hugged her.

'Nera is very tense right now. She does not feel cold. I wonder why won't she stop chattering her teeth and shivering' Jekyll thought.

He then heard her mumble, "There are no scary things in the dark. I'm not scared. I'm not scared, I'm not-"

Her mumbling stopped when a thounder clap was heard. Nera yelped and throwed her arms around Jekyll to the point that he was now lying on the sofa with Nera on top of him.

The thing is, Nera is afraid of the dark. She can't handle being in the dark eve after a few minutes. Of course, Jekyll realized it. After all, her strange behaviour appeared when the electricity went out. But he still asked Nera, "Could it be that you're afraid of the dark, master?"

"N-No! Ne-Nera is not afraid of the dark!" Nera suddenly removed herself off of Jekyll but as soon as she heard weird noises coming from outside, she immediately hugged Jekyll again.

"Are you sure about that master?" Jekyll asked.

"Fi-Fine, you win! Nera is afraid of the dark. Happy?!" Nera said with an angered tone while removing herself from Jekyll again, sitting upright facing away from him.

Jekyll gave her a chuckle which made Nera annoyed, "What are you laughing about?!"

Instead of giving Nera an answer, he hugged her out nowhere, making Nera shock, which made the two lie down again but this time they were face, with Jekyll on the edge of the couch.

"Wh-What do you think you're doing, Jeje?!" Nera said, obviously flustered.

"Instead of staring into the space of darkness, just look at me," Jekyll said, not answering Nera's question.

Nera was still too flustered to even scold Jekyll however, looking at Jekyll is still better. And soon, Nera started to feel drowsy but she doesn't want to fall asleep because she thought that she might dream scary things. Jekyll noticed that his master is trying to make herself wake up so he comforted her and said, "If you feel sleepy, just sleep. I'm here to protect you."
