As you sat on the boat to a small Greek island on the way to your best friends wedding, you watched the waves as the boat soared through the clear ocean. You could even see a few dolphins swimming besides the boat, as you took pictures of them you could feel someone standing behind you.

"Adorable, aren't they?" the familiar voice of your friend, Dylan said.

"They sure are." You replied, turning to face him, seeing him smiling.

You weren't really sure what your relationship with him was, you were co-stars and best friends in real life, but there was always something different between you that you couldn't quite place.

"I can't believe they're finally getting married, it only feels like yesterday they started dating." Dylan said, sitting besides you.

Tyler and Shelley had been dating for three years now, and Tyler couldn't wait any longer to marry her since he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. They'd decided to get married on a private island that they'd rented for their family and friends— yourself being Shelley's maid of honour, whilst Dylan was Tyler's best man.

When the boat finally arrived on the pier of the island on the loveliest beach you'd ever seen, you couldn't stop looking at how white the sand was and the ocean was so clear that you could see everything underneath it. Palm trees lined the pier which you admired as Dylan offered you his hand as you stepped off of the boat.

You walked together along the pier until you spotted Tyler waiting for you besides a car he'd rented, he gave you both hugs before smiling widely.

"I'm so glad you guys are finally here! Now the real fun can start." Tyler exclaimed, getting in the drivers seat.

Dylan got into the passenger seat whilst you sat in the back, you found yourself staring at the passing scenery as Tyler drove along the dusty roads of the island heading to where the wedding was taking place.

When you finally arrived, Tyler pointed you in the direction of where Shelley was, they weren't supposed to see each other until the wedding which was only hours away.

Once you found Shelley in one of the villas, she was still getting her hair and make-up done until she spotted you and squealed.

"Y/n!" She jumped up and ran to you, wrapping you in a tight hug, "I'm so glad you're finally here. I couldn't do this without you."

"Be careful, don't smudge your make-up!" Her make-up artist said, worrying.

"Okay, okay!" Shelley said, stepping away from you.

"I'm so happy for you, Shelley— this is such a beautiful island and Tyler is so excited to marry you." You said.

Shelley's smile widened even more, "I can't wait to see him."

The time quickly flew by and soon you were standing opposite Dylan and Tyler at the altar, watching Shelley walk down the aisle in a flowing white wedding dress. Tyler looked as if he were tearing up, but as you watched Shelley, Dylan only had eyes for you.

As Shelley finally stood in front of Tyler, they began reading their vows to each other and reciting what the priest read to them. When they were officially married, Tyler took her in his arms and dipped her elegantly before kissing her, making the guests applaud wildly.

It was one of the most beautiful events you'd ever witnessed, yet it made you feel incredibly single.

Later that night as everyone sat in a secluded area of the island resort under the stars, dining to their hearts content, you were sat besides Dylan and the newly wedded couple.

Dylan took a swig of the wine that was in front of him before he leaned closer to you, "I dont know if its the wine... or watching my two best friends get married, but I'd really like it if we could be something more than best friends, because there's always been something between us hasn't there?" he asked with a slightly raspy voice, he trailed off slightly as his honey brown eyes lingered on your lips.

You were taken aback for a moment before you finally replied, "I always thought there was something too..."

He cupped your cheek slowly before he closed the distance between you, his lips pressing against yours gently. He tasted like wine and strawberries, something you never thought would taste so good together until now.

Unfortunately you were interrupted by Tyler and Shelley whooping about how they knew you'd end up together.

Dylan chuckled quietly as he rested his hand on your thigh, "I guess I always thought we would too."

"Me too." You smiled as you glanced at your best friends who were now feeding each other wedding cake.

One day you hoped that would be you and a certain brown eyed boy, but for now you were happy to live in the moment, surrounded by the ones you love on a beautiful island.
