*lowercase intended*)

almost two years after walking out on your cheating husband, you finally had your life back on track. after meeting an old boyfriend, who you had never stopped loving, you accepted his offer to live with him.

at first you were reluctant because of your young daughter, allison, but after a few weeks of living with him he proved to be a much better influence for her than your now ex-husband after the divorce papers were now finalised.

you ended up falling in love with him again and this time was much better than when you were young and had no idea what you wanted, but right now you knew that dylan was the only one for you.

although dylan was busy a lot with his acting career taking off, he always made time for you and allison.

your life was much better than before, even living a life of luxury in dylan's home which you were forever grateful for but dylan always told you that what was his was yours.

one day he told you that tyler and shelley were going to babysit allison whilst he took you out to dinner which he hadn't been able to do for a while with his busy schedule.

that night you got dressed in one of your favourite dresses paired with small heels, only wearing minimal make-up. dylan promised he'd pick you up straight from work, as you headed outside for him you noticed a long stretch limo parked outside.

one of the back doors opened and dylan stepped out in a black tuxedo, he took your breath away as soon as you saw him— you would never get over how lucky you were to be with him.

"hello, beautiful." dylan smiled as he took hold of your hand and kissed it softly, his eyes gazing into yours lovingly.

"hey, dylan." you replied, a slight blush appearing on your cheeks.

as you got into the back of the limo and sat down, dylan sat besides you and gestured for the driver to carry on driving.

"you hired a limo?" you asked in awe.

"only the best for my girl." he said softly as he rested his hand on your thigh.

when you finally reached the restaurant you were surprised at how fancy it was, considering it wasn't exactly a special occasion.

halfway through the night, as you'd both finished your main courses and desserts, dylan looked as if he was preparing himself to do something, he took a deep breath before standing up.

you looked up at him, confused, "is everything okay?"

"more than okay, y/n... actually," he paused and got down on one knee besides you, causing people to turn around and stare at the both of you, "i have something i'd like to ask you."

"y/n... ever since i was a teenager, i've been madly in love with you, and despite the fact that we didn't work out then, we found our way back to each other and it has been the best thing that's ever happened to me... you and allison are the ones that keep me going everyday. you're the only one i want to spend the rest of my life with, so will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" he asked as he pulled out a black velvet box revealing a diamond ring inside.
