He was the international celebrity that was rumored to be dating a different girl each day; I was the nobody from Texas. So can you see why, when he'd asked me out, I thought it was a joke? And then, when I realized it wasn't, I thought that he was just going to play me like all those other girls. When he'd tried for a good night kiss to end the date, I'd ducked and avoided it. I didn't want to be played by 'The Harry Styles' and I certainly didn't want to be on the cover of all those magazines. After I closed the door that night, I thought I'd seen the last of him. The next day, however, a very surprised me was greeted by a certain singer at the Starbucks where I worked. He'd asked if I wanted to hang out again and I'd agreed. We had started hanging out more and more and pretty soon we were inseparable. He hadn't tried to kiss me again though. Nothing more than hugs and one or two kisses on the cheek. The media had eventually found out about me and now spent the time speculating on what exactly the state of our relationship was. Harry had asked to keep it secret, saying something about not wanting me to get all the hate that I would get. I'd agreed even though a nagging thought in the back of my head kept saying the player side of him just wanted to keep his single status. I tried to shake that thought away but it was always there, waiting.

"See something you like?" He asks, snapping me out of my reverie. Seeing the smirk on his face, I realize I've been staring in his direction.

"Maybe... I can't really tell, it's to hidden with hair,” I say jokingly. He laughs, accepting the comment and pulls his beanie out of his pocket, putting it on.

"Better?" he asks with a grin.

"Much" I say nodding my head with a laugh

"So where to next?" he asks finishing off the last of his drink. I shrug slightly, looking down the street from our seats at the outdoor cafe.

"We could just walk down the street and window shop,” I suggest and he nods. We stand up and throw away our empty cups as we walk down the path. People recognized Harry of course, but for the most part were polite and let us continue on our way without stopping us to often for pictures or autographs. As we walk an overwhelming need comes over me.

"Harry" I whisper quietly.

"Yea?" he asks raising an eyebrow at me.

"I have to pee"

He laughs, pausing in his steps as I do a little dance in place. He looks around before pointing to the shop across the street. "I think they have a bathroom in there. I'll wait out here and sign some autographs or something,” he says. I nod, walking quickly over. When I'm finished, I walk out, glancing around trying to find Harry as my eyes adjust back to the light. I see him a few feet away from where I'd left him, talking to two girls. I don't think anything of it and start walking over when I see one of the girls hand him a slip of paper. I freeze, watching as he smiles, pocketing the number. That voice in the back of my mind screaming I knew it. He glances over at the shop I'd gone into, checking to see if I was there I suppose before looking back at the girls, then doing a double take when he sees that I was actually there. He reads the expression on my face then looks between the girls and I.

"It's not--" he starts saying but I turn on my heels, walking through the crowd. I wasn't about to run and cause a scene. "Alyssa wait" he calls and soon I feel a hand on my shoulder spinning me around.

"What" I spit out "You expect me just to stand there and watch as you pick up a girl?" I ask, "I knew there was a reason you didn't want to go public. Besides all that 'I want to avoid you getting hate crap' because frankly Harry, I'm a big girl, I can handle the hate." His eyes widen at my tone. Normally I was a very happy person, always smiling. It took a lot to get me mad.

"I wasn't picking her up,” he says slowly shaking his head as he pulls out the slip of paper the girl had handed her."She just asked if I'd follow her on twitter,” he says handing me the slip. I uncrumple it and feel my cheeks heat up as I read the twitter name.

"Oh" I say feeling really stupid.

"Lyss" he says, grabbing my head, making me look up at him. "There isn't anything I'd want more than to have the world know you're my girlfriend. I honestly was just worried about all the hate. I know you could handle it but are you sure that is something you want?" I smile, nodding my head slightly before putting a hand on the back of his neck, pulling his face to mine, pressing my lips against his.
