Maggie's POV
I woke up and decide to wear a light blue sweatshirt with ripped white jeans and my white vans. As I finish brushing my hair I hear yelling from downstairs.
I walk down and see my mom yelling at jack?!
"Mom what the hell?" I say and run towards jack
"Your little boyfriend here is looking for you, I always knew you were a slut. But why?" She says and grabs my wrist
"Hey let go of her" he says and tries to loosen my moms grip
"Jack just go, it's only gunna get worse from here" I say but he completely ignores me and continues to loosen the grip until he finally does
"Are you okay?" He ask and I nod
"Is this who you've been running off to" my mom says and we both turn to look at her
"What are you even talking about" I respond
"Don't act stupid, you think I don't know about you sneaking off with him, well guess what this girl is worthless I wouldn't even bother wasting your time on her" my mom says and jack holds my hand
"That's where your wrong. Maggie is not worthless and she is worth my time, if anything your wasting your time" jack says to my mom
"You know what get out, your not allowed to see her again" my mom says
"No jacks not going anywhere he's staying" I speak up
"I said OUT NOW" my mom yells the last words
"Okay Fine I'll go, but Maggie is going with me" he says
"Maggie is not going anywhere she's staying here where she'll get what she deserves for running to every guy she lays eyes on" my mom says
"I've only ever had one boyfriend, and I'm going with jack" I say
"You should've died instead of your father" she says right before jack closes the door.
I'll admit when she said that, my heart broke into a million pieces. Then and there I wanted to give up on life. I felt like the walls were caving in on me.
I felt like giving up on everything, but I couldn't. I had to fight for the people that actually did love me and for the people that I love. But I couldn't help but let a tear slip.
Jack saw and wiped it away
"Ignore what she said, she doesn't deserve an amazing daughter like you" he says with a small smile
"C'mon" he says taking me somewhere
"Where are we going" I say as we walk
"Well we're going to my house" he says
"Oh okay" I say and start to worry a little, what if his family didn't like me
"Don't worry, I'm positive my family's gunna like you" he says almost as if he read my mind
"Thanks for standing up for me" I say
"No problem, no one as amazing as you deserves to be treated like that" he says and I didn't even notice we were still walking hand in hand.
We arrive to his house and we walk in.
We walk upstairs and enter what I'm guessing is his room
"Do you want water?" He asks me and I nod
"Okay I'll be right back" he says and walks out leaving me sitting there.
"Jack" a girl who looks around 14 enters the room, but soon she realizes I'm only in the room
"Oh sorry I didn't know jack had some one over" she says
"It's okay" I say and then jack walks in
"Oh hey Ava" he says
"Maggie this is Ava my sister, Ava this is Maggie my friend" he says
"Sure, just friends" she says and walks out.
Jack hands me my water bottle and we start talking
"Jack I'm so sorry I got you into this mess" I say
"You didn't get me into anything, I got myself into this for showing up at your house" he responds
"If you need anywhere to stay I'm sure my mom wouldn't mind letting you stay" he says
"Thank you but I'm gunna have to face my mom sooner or later" I respond
We continue talking and then jack suggests we go live on YouNow, so we do.
"Hey guys this is Maggie my friend" he says pointing to me
"Heyy" I say with a smile.
We answer some questions and end the live.
"Thanks again jack but I should probably go home now" I say
"No don't go, it's not safe there" he says while holding me back
"Okay how about this, I'll text you if something happens and I need somewhere to stay" I suggest
"Pinky swear" he says and I laugh a little
"Pinky swear" I say.
I start heading home and worry a little about what my mom might do.
As I reach my house, I see the police parked in front of my house.
