I clenched my jaw and listened to Justin go on and on.
"Great. wow I'm so happy for you." I lied
"So how about you? are you seeing anyone." Justin asked smiling as his brown Carmel eyes twinkled
"Uhmm.... yeah I am. yeah it's great." I lied and smiled
Justin's smile fell off of his face and I saw his nostrils flare and then a fake smile was plastered on his face.
"Great." Justin was obviously lying
"Yeah his name is.. um J-j-Ja..son.. Jason. yeah. we're really happy and stuff." I was pretty good at lying for a second there until I kept blinking.
"I'd like to meet this Jason guy. how about a double date later at uh... seven-ish? " Justin asked
"Oh well.. uh .. you see me and j-" the sound of meleah's running footsteps cut me off and then she stopped at our table
"Seven is good! yeah Jason will definitely be there. I was just on the phone with him. yeah." Meleah said out of breathe.
"Alright well see you soon." Justin said standing up.
I walked over to him and he gave me a big hug. bigger than usual.
I walked away awkwardly and caught up with meleah
"DUDE! " I whispered/yelled
"What?" meleah asked
"Umm.. "Jason" will be there? I don't even know a Jason!" I confessed as I stroked my hair
"Yeah I saved you. your lucky I know a jason. he's cute too so don't worry." Meleah said sliding down her sunglasses from her head to covering her eyes.
