Y/N's P.O.V

Opening my eyes I looked over in the dark and couldn't make out Shawn next to me. Sitting up I turned on the light and Shawn wasn't in bed.

Getting out of the bed I checked the bathroom he wasn't there. Walking down the hallway into the living room he wasn't there either. Checking the kitchen, not finding him and finally moving on to our daughters room.

Quietly making my way down the hallway I opened the door and saw Shawn holding Y/D/N. Smiling I walked in and whispered a small hello to Shawn.

"Hey, you didn't have to get up I was coming back to bed" he chuckled softly.

"I know, I just came to check on you guys" I said wrapping my arms around Shawn from behind.

Leaning my head into his back I smiled. How was it possible that my life turned out like this. I had a beautiful baby girl with the love of my life. I could hear Shawn start humming letting go I whispered that I was going back to bed and I would see him there.

Quietly walking out of the room I closed the door a tiny bit and just peaked my head in when I heard Shawn start singing.

"Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I'm getting older, too"

Smiling at the song choice I started walking back down the hallway to bed but not before I heard him talking to our daughter.

"I don't think you realize yet how lucky we are Y/D/N to have Y/N in our lives. She's a great wife and I know she's going to be an amazing mom. I love you my angel"

Knowing he put Y/D/N in her crib I continued walking down the hallway and back to our room.
