How would you feel if nobody believes you? Will you still be happy? Not keeping promises is as good as lying. When you make promises you are committing your words and your reliability, so each time you break a promise the more you will piss your life off. Most of the time you are not honest with your words, you pretend that you can do more to make people believe in you. The truth is you are just good at making promises.
Sometimes you really don't understand the words you said and you end up with broken promises. When making promises you need to be sincere on the things that you can only cope up with. Don't offer too much that you know you can not fulfill. Remember for you to win people you need to earn their trust and when you fulfill your words you make yourself happy and the person to whom you made the promise.
