A Winters Ball

HI GUYS I MADE IT TO 300 READS SO THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO READ MY STORY IT MEANS A LOT! Sorry I don't update as much as usual school makes me very busy. So anyways here's the chapter most of you have been waiting for, it's time for A Winters Ball!

When we heard the bell ring we knew that it was time to go so we gathered the girls and went to the Great Hall. When we arrived, we saw the rest of the girls from different houses waiting to go in as well.

"Ladies if I can have your attention please!" McGonagall said.

"This is how it's going to work. I'm going to call your house and when I do so you will form a line and enter the Great Hall. Once you have done this, you will proceed to find your date and then you can carry on to prepare for your waltz. Do you understand?" Then all the ladies shook their heads with excitement.

"Now let me have all the girls in Gryffindor House please!" Then all the girls from Gryffindor lined up to the front and proceeded to the Great Hall. Then she did this to every single house. It seemed like forever until finally they called us. "Lastly, Hogswing!" When she said this, I immediately froze and went into major panic mode. Then I got interrupted by Marley when she tapped my shoulder.

"Ready?"

"I think so."

"I feel bad for you though, cause you can't do the waltz." She said as we lined up.

"Actually, I never won the bet."

"You mean-"

"You've been fooled my friend."

"I really hate you right know." 

"Love you to." I said and the doors opened. The second they opened, I didn't even pay attention to the decoration or the people. I just had to look straight ahead to see Luke waiting for me. He looks so handsome. I thought I said in my head. It turns out I mumbled it loud enough for Marley to hear cause she squealed in excitement.

"Shut up." I said. As we approached the guys.

"See you on the dance floor." She said as she went to find Bailey, leaving me alone with Luke.

"You look beautiful Madi." He said.

"So do you Mr.Handsome." 

"How come you chose green?" He said. "You're not in Slytherin."

"Thought it'd bring out my eyes." Then we heard the music about to begin.

"May I have this first dance?" He said giving me his hand.

"Of course." I said gladly taking it. 

The first dance went really nice. He's a really good dancer. I'm pretty sure he practiced, I'm betting Marley 1 sickle. After a few more dances, it was time for dinner so we all sat down in a table and talked as if it was another normal feast at school. Then after dinner, they went back to the dance floor. I, however, stayed behind. 

"You don't wanna dance?" Emily said.

"No, you go. I'm gonna go get a drink." I said. I wasn't in the mood to dance at the moment. At this point, I had my dress from green to yellow to black to purple to red. I needed a break. I went to get a drink but someone else beat me to it.

"Two firewhiskeys please." Luke said.

"How did you know I was gonna get that?"

"You're dress was orange so I figured."

"Oh right, I completely forgot about that." I said as he handed me the glass. "I think I'm gonna take a walk."

"Mind if I join?"

"Not at all." He grabbed my hand and we walked out of the castle. We walked to the paved courtyard, which was full of snow which started to fall on my hair.

"Hold this." I said giving him my glass and I took out my wand. 

"What are you doing?" He said.

"Watch." I said as I changed my dress blue.

"Cool." He said giving me back my cup.

"I know." Then we walked around the courtyard which was filled with snow cause it was snowing like crazy. I even got snow on my hair, but Luke did this cute spell on it to make it look like a crown of snow. Then we sat down on a bench. 

"Madi, can I ask you something?" He said.

"Sure." I said. "What is it?"

Then he started to stutter and hesitate on what he was trying to say. "W-well, it's-it's kinda more of a-a request t-than a question-"

"Luke, just say it."

"I I love you Madison Narcissa Malfoy! I always have been since we met on the train!" Then my heart stopped. Did he just say that he loved me? I loved him but I never expected him to love me. But at that time I didn't care cause the man of my dreams had just confessed his love for me, and so did I.

"I love you too!" I said and then we did it. The thing people read about in romance and fantasies. We kissed a true love kiss. It was the best thing that's ever happened to me. As we kissed, I felt all the bad things going on in the world leave my brain as it they never existed. After we kissed, he pulled back and said,

"Do you wanna be my girlfriend?" 

"Yes!" and I threw myself into his loving arms. I felt the cold of my body leave when I felt the warmth of his arms wrap around me. Then my dress turned red cause I was blushing. And so was he! I saw him and started to laugh a little. Then we went back inside and the first thing Marley did was look at us and say,

"YOU KISSED!"

"SHHHHHH!!!"We said as we covered her mouth.

"We kissed, it happened and if another soul finds out your secret might just slip out of our mouths. Got it?!" I said and she nodded in agreement. Then we continued with the night and had an amazing time. Guess true love fixes everything!
