Inside the Forbidden Forest

The Prophet released the news out as soon as possible. When the owls came to drop them off, we couldn't even stand to be in the great hall so we split up and went our own ways in case anyone came talking to us. We didn't say anything to anyone that came walking up our way. James went to the Quidditch pitch to see if flying around could take his mind off of things, Albus went to the Room of Requirement because he wanted to continue working on the research, and I went to a place that people wouldn't expect to see me in: The Forbidden Forest.

I'm very well aware of what the forest consists of and that it's forbidden to students. Duh, that's why they call it the Forbidden Forest. But I didn't let that keep me from going in. Not many people try to go into the forest but luckily for me, I'm not those people.

If you think about the forest, you think that it's going to be dark, scary, and dangerous. That doesn't happen unless you think of it like that. I like to find the light in all the darkness so for me I think of the forest as, scenic with tall trees and  all types of creatures some friendly and others dangerous. You never know what you'll find in there.

In the forest, I admire the atmosphere around me watching the hippogrifs run around chasing squirrels. It's nice to know that there's more to nature than magical creatures. I sit down on a rock in the middle of the forest surrounded by animals open my bag and take out the book I had checked out from the library and turned into the page I had left on.

Midway through reading I started to hear some rustling behind me. "Probably an animal." I thought to myself so I kept on reading. Then I heard it again, only this time it was closer. Now I was getting scared.

"Who's there?" I said but no reply. Then the rustling was closer than ever and I jumped up from the rock, pulled out my wand and started to slowly walk back. Now I was able to see a big shadow coming from the bushes until I heard a familiar voice jump out of the bushes.

"Madison?"

"Luke?!" I said lowering my wand.

"What are you doing here?" He said.

"How did you know where I was?"

"I saw you from the Astronomy Tower."

"The what?" I said.

"You've never been there?"

"Does it look like I've been there?"

"What are you doing here?"

"Hiding."

"From?"

"People."

"Why?"

"Cause of the thing in your hand." I said pointing to his hand.

"Oh." He said walking towards me. "Are you okay?"

"I don't know." I said siting down on the rock.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He said sitting next to me.

"No."

"How long have you known?"

"A few months."

"Do you wanna talk about something else?"

"Yeah."

"Ok." He said getting up. "Follow me." He said sticking his hand out of his pocket and grabbing me.

"Where are you taking me?" I said.

He smirked and said, "To my favorite spot in the castle."
