Chapter 15/16

My first month of school went by really slow and everything was just boring.

" Do you not like it here? " My cousin asked.

" I'm really thankful you offered me such an expensive school but I don't think it's right for me, I think I would do better in Korea at a time like this " I replied.

" You want to go back? It's not just the school right? Hyunjin? " He brought up.

" I miss him too, a lot " I said.

" Guess what, I knew you were having a hard time so I already cancelled the registration for your next term and I already bought a ticket for your trip back to Korea, you should pack now " My cousin surprised me.

" Really? Thank you so much " I jumped up my seat.

" As long as you're happy " He hugged me.

I quickly packed for my midnight flight.

My plane departed Singapore, I felt really happy and excited.

Hyunjin ah, are you waiting?

A few hours later, my plane landed in Korea and I was more than excited to see Hyunjin.

" Where are you heading to? " The taxi driver asked.

" Here is the address, please take me there quickly " I replied.

" Wait, I've seen you before " The taxi driver noticed me.

" Ahh! You were the one that took me to the airport a month ago too " I remembered.

" You're already back? Didn't that guy come home with you? " He questioned.

" He didn't go with me " I answered.

After chatting about his work as a taxi driver, we finally arrived at the destination.

" Thank you " I paid for the taxi and rang the house bell.

Someone ran towards the door,

" Is it the chicken order? " He asked as he opened the gate.

" Yes, it is " I said.

" Why do I keep seeing her everywhere? How much is it? " He continued thinking he's just hallucinating.

" It's me, Hyunjin ah " I told him.

" You? R-Really? " He said in disbelief.

He immediately hugged me tightly.

" I miss you so much " I hugged him back.

" Did you know how lonely I was? I ate, study, play, slept alone everyday " He told me.

" I will accompany you from now on, don't worry " I said.

" It's gonna rain, come in " He helped me with my luggages.

I lay down on the couch and relaxed.

" I miss this house, a month felt like a year in Singapore " I told him.

He sat down and put my head on his lap.

" Are you hungry? " He asked.

" No, I bought a sandwich in the airport " I replied.

" Is that enough? You eat a lot" He said.

" No! I don't, I cut down " I told him.

"Don't, I don't want to lose my food buddy " He whined.

" It's just because the food there doesn't suit my taste " I explained.

" I'll cook you spicy seafood tofu soup with kimchi fried rice and egg pancake " He said.

" Okay, need some help? " I offered.

" Just rest, you look so tired " He noticed.

At night,

" Can you come here? " Hyunjin called me.

" What? I want to sleep " I whined.

He pulled me next to him on the bed and hugged me.

" I'll sleep in my room " I pushed him off.

" No, stay just for one night, don't you miss me? " He said.

" Okay, hurry and sleep " I told him.

- Hyunjin's pov -

She fell asleep first, she must be so tired. Thanks for coming back to me, Ryujin ah. I won't let you go anymore.

I was awaken by the bright sun shinning towards my eyes. I looked over to Ryujin who was still in dreamland. I had many thoughts that moment. I wanted to give her a special first day back in Korea.

" Good morning " She finally got up.

" Go wash up, we're going out " I told her.

We went to the waterpark, it was not crowded because it was on weekdays.

" We're swimming? I didn't bring my swimsuit " She asked.

" I prepared it for you " I replied.

We went to the changing room and changed.

" Since when did you have abs? " She pointed out.

" Stop looking, it's embarrassing " I covered her eyes.

" I don't know how to swim " She told me.

" I'll help you, let's go up the slide " I decided.

We climbed the stairs and reached the top, it was really high when you look down.

" I'm scared, I want to go back down " She whined.

" You wasted your energy climbing up " I told her.

" I can't do it " She refuses.

" Excuse me, we're going to go together " I said to the staff.

I sat down on the slide first,

" Sit in front of me " I pulled her down.

" 3.. 2.. 1 " The staff pushed us down.

She was screaming in my ear the whole ride down.

" I'm never going on that anymore, my heart was about to stop " She cried.

" It was so fun, let's go bungee jumping there " I said.

" Bungee jumping? That's even worse " She pushed me away.

I carried her and ran to the elevator that takes you up.

" Let me down, yah! " She shouted.

We wore the safety outfit attached to the elastic chord, the staff put mine and hers together because she didn't want to go alone. The outfit made us 10 times closer to each other, making our faces only 2cm apart.

I could tell she felt uncomfortable, her eyes kept on looking everywhere.

" Are you guys ready? " The staff questioned.

" Wait a minute " She answered.

After she calmed down, she told the guy she was ready.

" Okay, here we go " The staff pushed us down.

Strangely, none of us scream.
