DIRTY PLAN

At dawn

RK got a call and he went to the hospital.

When Madhu went to the hospital in the morning she knew that Mrs. Kapoor her first patient - the one she helped in her surgery in her first day- suffered a heart's problem and she had emergency surgery early morning. She ran to RK's office to know what happened exactly. When she reached his office, she saw T there, and RK was very furious and shouting at T. she didn't want to enter there and interrupt them

"It is your operation room. She is your patient. I don't care who fixed that nail. You are her senior. You should double check her work. It is your responsibility not hers" RK shouted at T

"Are you defending her because she is your wife? It is her fault not mine" T

"You know exactly that is not the truth. I don't defend any one. It was her first day. Her first operation. And you left her do it without any supervision" RK

"I thought she is a talented doctor like everyone said. But I found out she is the dumbest" T

"Watch your language. Don't ever talk about her like that" RK

"I knew you would blame me for her mistakes" T

"It is your mistake not hers" RK

"Be sure that I won't take responsibility for her mistake" T

"Leave now. Just leave. I will see what we will do about it" RK

T left RK's office and looked at Madhu with anger. Madhu decided that it was not a good time to talk to RK so she left. Then she got a phone call from her husband asking her to meet him in his office

"May I come in?" Madhu scared from his anger

"Come" RK

"I wanted to ask about Mrs. Kapoor's case" Madhu

"I called you for the same matter" RK

"What happened to her?" Madhu

"Tell me first who fixed the nails in her bone?" RK

"I did. Why? Is there any problem with the nails" Madhu

"One of the nails was loose free from its place. And it ran with her blood to her heart. It ripped her heart. We almost lost her today. Her heart stopped twice on my operation table" RK explained to Madhu what happened with her patient

"OMG. I'm sure I fixed the nails tight. Even Dr. Tanushree double-checked my work. She told me to fix it tighter" Madhu was shocked by what happened to her patient

"What do you mean? Did T checked the nails after you were done?" RK

"Yes" Madhu

"You can go now" RK

"I'm so sorry. It is my mistake. I never imagined causing my patient more pain. I'm sorry" Madhu almost broke in tears for her mistake that almost cost her patient her life

"Everyone makes mistakes. It is part of our job. Your mistake came too early. But it will teach you to be more careful in future. It will prevent you from repeating it again. It is part of your learning process. Accept it. And don't ever forget it. But don't let it eat you up" RK

"Thank you" Madhu

"Go now and don't think about it. You have other patients to think about" RK

"I'll try" Madhu

Madhu left his office. After few minutes RK went to T's office to talk with her, when he heard her talking on the phone

"I never meant it to be that way" T
