FIRST NIGHT

After midnight

RK woke up thirsty. He heard concealing sobs from his wife. He opened his eyes and looked at her. She was sleeping on her other side. She didn't notice that he was awake.

"Madhu. What happened? Are you in pain?" RK

Madhu wiped her tears before she had turned around to face him.

"RK are you awake? Do you need anything?" Madhu

"I was going to get some water. But I heard you crying." RK

"No I wasn't crying. I'm ok. I will bring you water." Madhu

Madhu went and filled the water jug and returned to their room. RK noticed that she wiped her tears again before she had got close to him. He sat up on the bed.

"Come Madhu. Tell me what woke you up." RK

"Nothing RK I was sleeping. I'm going to sleep now. Please don't worry about me. You need to rest." Madhu

"First of all my name is Rishabh not RK." RK

"But you told me before to call you RK not Rishabh." Madhu

"We are having a fresh start now for our relationship. We can consider tonight is our first night in our married life. You are my wife. If you don't call me with my name who will? So from now on you will call me Rishabh only Rishabh. Or by any name you want. Is that ok?" RK

Madhu nodded her head

I want to hear you

"It is ok." Madhu

RK looked at her as if he was waiting for her to continue. She laughed and repeated her answer

"It is ok Rishabh." Madhu

"OMG I never thought that my name sounds so sweet until I heard it from you. I think I will love my name now." RK

"Your name is really lovely. I love it so much." Madhu blushed

"You only love my name?" RK

"No." Madhu

"What else do you love about me?" RK

"I love everything about you. I love your name, your personality, your kind heart, your caring nature, your wise mind, and your look. I love all of you" Madhu was blushing badly when she said the last part

"And I love you Madhu. You know it is hurting me to see you crying. I know it is hard for you. I know you loved our baby. But we have to move on.

God gave us a gift and then took it back. Our baby was our guest in this life for a little time then he left us. This is life Madhu. No one will live forever. You have to be strong and accept this fact. Life doesn't stop for anyone. Everyone will leave one day and we have to go on." RK

Madhu was crying so hard.

"I wanted him so much. I loved him Rishabh. He was the hope for our relation. He was a piece of you growing inside me. He was the pound between us. He was our baby." Madhu

RK pulled Madhu closer to him. And hugged her tight.

"There is still hope in our relation Madhu. You still young my dear. We will have another kids one day. You will have another piece of me growing inside you." RK caressed her belly

"Don't lose hope. Don't ever lose hope as long as you breathe." RK

"Really RK. I mean really Rishabh. We can have children. I can be a mother. A mother for your children. We will have kids?" Madhu said with eyes full of hope
