Pain
its something we all have
its not something you can escape
or cheat your way out of
pain can consume you
your whole life can be swallowed whole
if you let it
when in pain
thats all you think about
how much it hurts
how much you want it to stop
you tell it "go away"
"I don't want you here"
but it never does
pain comes in many forms
physical, verbal, emotional
no matter what form
it will hurt the same
it will hurt when you get punched
it will hurt when the name is not your own
it will hurt when you don't love
when you don't love the one person
you should love the most
it hurts when you don't love yourself
rain will come down on you as a symbol
it could mean you're having a bad day
or something much deeper
rain can go away
pain stays forever
sure the bruises heal
and apologies are made
but a scar will remain
whenever you see that scar
a part of you dies inside
a part of your heart throbs for it to stop
everyone suffers from pain
no one can hide from it
pain will find you and get you
excepting that you can't stop it
will just make it angry
because pain isn't a feeling
it isn't an emotion
you are your own pain
