What a beautiful day it is.
What a beautiful day indeed.

The sun kissed my skin,
while the sand tickled my senses.
Heat brushes my closed lids,
and if opened,
would be overwhelmed by heavenly light
that could blind one's eyes
with it's beauty.

Waves caress the beach
with it's constantly moving
deep, pure blue blood,
thick with waste and bread crust extras
that make up this
strong, salty body.

Clear fresh air trick out-of-town comers
into believing in it's diversity from the same
life bringing substance.
Easy fools think something invisible can change quality.
City dwellers know adding
taste of the noisy, pot banging sea
changes nothing.

Laughter echoes out of smiling mouths.
The unappreciated background crashing
from the peaceful waters,
consume my ears
in a frenzy fuzz.

However, with good comes the bad.

Flames erupted all over my body.
Dark, blood red blotches form
on the once pink skin.
My legs squirm and fuss,
attempting to relieve themselves
from the itchy dust invading inside my barriers.

The sea feeds on unsuspecting souls
playing in it's comforting caverns.
The water grows in size,
bigger and bigger,
until it falls on it's prey,
crushing it with it's metallic, blue blood.

The dirty water fills the victims lungs,
eventually drowning then with it's
salty, sour, sea poison.
Screams of pain is the only sound of warning
for the next prey to hear.

Cries of boredom
stuff the annoyed parents ears,
who wear bags of deepening sleep deprivation
like they're a fashion statement.
The faults of birthing
red in the face mini devils.
They'll stomp the earth with their feet,
pierce the sky with their voice,
and kill the joy with things
that don't meet their standards.

What a beautiful day it is.
What a beautiful day indeed.
