26- Where are you?

A week becomes two weeks. Two weeks since Taehyung refuses to leave his apartment. Even if his manager and friends call him or knock at his door, he doesn't respond to no one. Rumors about him being involved in a scandal appear. He becomes the headlines of a few newspapers and magazines. His fans start to spam his Instagram account asking about his health and whereabouts. His brother tries to contact him, but he is never able to reach him. It is as if he disappeared. One day, Jin calls a locksmith to force open Taehyung's door. He is astonished to see that there is no one inside.

"Namjoon? He is not here," Seokjin says as he tries to stay calm, but he lets out a small sob when he sees the undone bedsheets, bottles of wines laying on the floor and magazines thrown and thorn all over the apartment.

"Hoseok checked all the hotels he knows and he is not there as well,"

Jin sighs and runs a hand through his hair, gripping the roots firmly.

The same day, at night, every person who knows personally Taehyung are present at Namjoon's first bar. Yoongi is trying to calm his boyfriend, who is crying non-stop, which was a rare sight to everywhere, who were used to see the young man smiling than crying. Hoseok and Namjoon are still messaging people they know about Taehyung. Jin is sitting at the counter with his head inside his arms. The last person to arrive is Jungkook.

"What's wrong?" He asks as he sits on the counter seat.

All of sudden, Yoongi rushes to him and holds him by the collar of his jacket.

"Stop playing the stupid, you clearly know what's wrong," Yoongi yells at him.

He tosses him against the wall. He is about to speak up again when Jimin grabs his hand and shakes his head. Yoongi clicks his tongue and goes back to his seat.

"Jungkook, Taehyung disappeared,"

Jungkook chuckles.

"That can't be, he is famous, he can't disappear like this,"

"Jungkook, " Namjoon calls but with a hint of anger in his tone.

Jungkook gulps down and sighs. Namjoon and Hoseok explain him the situation on how they can't reach him.

"When did you see him for the last time?"

Jungkook scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment. He still remembers what happened between him and Taehyung. That time, he was so frustrated and angry. He did not expect the elder to behave in such a way. But he couldn't totally blame him.

Jungkook knew about Taehyung's feelings for him and he kept rejecting them because he didn't want to experience the same pain again. He is done with people calling him a stalker or a trash. He also doubted that what Taehyung only loved was his body and not him as a person. He thought Taehyung only love him because he is a photographer who takes good pictures of him. He doubted Taehyung's sincere feelings.

"You know that my brother really loves you?" Jin speaks up.

"He had that beautiful smile when he spoke about you, I have never seen such a smile on him for a long time. He said that he wanted to help you to move on from your past and he wanted to become a better person for you,"

"He was so excited to go on a date with you. He didn't want to disappoint you so he asked me for a lot of advice."

"His only wish was for you to return his feelings, to feel the same way as him. He wanted to be with you Jungkook,"

What everyone did not expect was a chuckle coming from Jungkook's lips. He almost cringed at all these statements.

"This is not a fairy tale, Taehyung doesn't love me, he only loves my photos, he only loves me Jungkook as a photographer, he will use me then after he will throw me, he is just like everyone, useless love feelings"

A pain stings his cheek. Jungkook stands there with a hand on his cheek and glares at his assailant.

"Taehyung is not selfish, you don't deserve to talk about him like that, you who is unable to leave your past" Hoseok says as he presses his index finger on Jungkook's chest.

" Jungkook, instead of saying rubbish, try to help us find him, perhaps" Namjoon stated.

Jungkook does not say a word and takes a seat next to Jin on the counter. A slap brings him back to reality, brings him back to the fact that these people actually care for someone they adore. How would it feel when your loved ones disappear?

Worry. They are simply worried and Jungkook took a long time to understand this since it was a feeling that he erased from his mind.

"Do you know any places where he could have gone? Like places where the two of you went ?"

The only place that crosses his mind right now is that little hill in the forest. Jungkook doesn't wait and run outside of the bar. It is pitch blank outside and he wonders how he can spot Taehyung in that darkness. He drives to the forest and with his flashlight, he illuminates his path that was covered with snow.

When he reaches the top of the hill, he looks around him and sees no one. He ruffles his hair in annoyance and goes back to his car. As he heads back to the city, he visits all the places he went with Taehyung, including the museum and the sport center, but he can't find him at all.

"Please, Taehyung...Where in the world are you ?"

As he drives, he sees the signboard of the old street where he used to live. He frowns thinking whether it is possible to see Taehyung there. He sighs and follows the sign. He arrives at the old apartment complex. Namjoon has left this place a long time ago, to live with Jin so the place looks so empty. He climbs the stairs with heavy steps and he is surprised to see light coming from his old room. He runs towards it and knocks on the door very loudly. The door opens painfully slowly, revealing the figure of that one person Jungkook was looking for all this time.
