Chapter Eighty Two

Because of her Dad’s condition, Athena choose to stay with him and make use of the time left for her to stay in Manila in taking care of her Dad.  Just like Christmas the Reyes family prefers to have a simplier New Year Celebration.  Immediately after New Year Athena flew back to Germany with Raffy who stays with her for a week before he gets on board for work.

It took six months for Richard to fully recover and the wedding of Tristan and Charmaine to push through.  Luckily, Athena got permission from her school to travel back to Manila for her sister’s wedding. 

“I’m so happy that you were able to come home sweetie” Dei said

“I'm glad to see you again Mommy.  I miss you so much” Athena said

“Si Mommy lang ba ang nami-miss mo?” Richard asked

“Of course I miss you too Dad” Athena said and walks to Richard for a hug

“I miss you so much sweetie.  I’m glad that you will be here in time for your sister’s wedding” Richard replied while he hugs her and kisses the princess on her temple

“Iba ang influence and connections nila Mr. and Mrs. Horn, Dad.  Five days akong excuse sa classes ko”   Athena brags

“Remind me to buy something for them sweetie” Dei said

“Yes Mom, I owe them this trip”  Athena said

 “Go ahead and rest sweetie.  Your Dad and I need to leave now” Dei said

“So you two are back in attending parties again.  Are you sure pwede nang magpuyat si Daddy? Baka kung ano na naman ang mangyari Mom” Athena worriedly said

“Your Dad don’t drink anymore, nahihiya lang syang hindi pagbigyan yung isang client.  Kasi most of the services sa chain of hotels nila sa atin kinukuha” Dei explained

“Don’t worry sweetie saglit lang kami, baka nga less than one hour lang kami dun.  Hindi rin tayo pwedeng mapuyat baka pumangit tayo sa wedding ni Charmaine sa makalawa” Richard said

“Alright, basta balik kayo agad please”  Athena said

“Of course, namiss ko nang makipagkwentuhan sa mga prinsesa ko eh” Dei said

When Richard and Dei left, Athena quickly took her phone and dialed Raffy’s number.  She knows the Raffy is somewhat sad because she did not allow him to pick her up at the airport.

“I’m home Raphael” she said when she heard that Raffy picks up

“Obviously you are, pwede na ba kitang puntahan o magpapahinga ka muna kasi napagod ka sa byahe?” Raffy sarcastically replied

“Wag nang magalit please, umiwas lang naman ako na tanungin ng Mommy at Daddy ko bakit ikaw ang susundo sa akin” Athena explained

“There are so many reason that we could use, ayaw mo lang yata talagang makita ko eh” Raffy said

“Asus, ang arte-arte naman ng boyfriend ko.  Punta ka na dito sabayan mo kami ni Thirdy na mag dinner.  Wala si Mommy at Daddy nag attend ng party.  I think Ate will also attend the same party kasama si Tristan” Athena said

“Hindi ka man lang ba muna magpapahinga? Hindi ka ba napagod sa byahe?” Raffy asked but still in a sad tone

“Magpapahinga lang ako kapag nakita na kita.  I miss you so much my knight in shinning armour” Athena said

“Then tell your guard to open the gate, kanina pa ako nagdo-door bell mukhang nakatulog na yata.  Palitan nyo na kaya ang security agency nyo” Raffy said

“Are you sure you are in the right house, wala akong naririnig na nagdo-door bell” Athena said

“Whatever Athena Rose, just open the gate at kanina pa ako dito sa labas nyo. Nakita ko pang umalis ang Daddy at Mommy mo” Raffy said

Athena immediately hangs the phone and runs to the gate.  Raffy is right, the guard on duty abandoned his post.  Athena just takes it that he is taking his dinner so she’s the one who opens the gate for Raffy.

“Pasensya ka na, mukha sira ang door bell namin at yung guard eh parang naghahapunan na” Athena said and walks to their house upon Raffy enters.  But Raffy is quick to grab Athena’s arm and hugs her

“Not so fast Princess Athena Rose, pa-hug muna habang wala yung gwardya” Raffy said and Athena just lets him.

“Wala ngang gwardyang makakakita, eh paano na ang mga helpers lalo na si Manang Fe” Athena said

“Hayaan mo sila, kapag nagsumbong sa Daddy mo, pagalitan mo sabihin mo gumagawa sila ng tsismis” Raffy replied and Athena laughs

“Sira ka” Athena said and finally she hugs Raffy back “I miss you Raphael, so much” she said

Athena suddenly pulls back when she heard Manang Fe.

“Athena Rose sino yang kausap mo?” Manang Fe asked

“Manang Fe, I miss you” Raffy exclaimed

“Raffy? Aba dyaskeng bata ka, kanina ka pa ba dyan?” Manang Fe asked

“Medyo po, kanina pa po ako nagdo-door bell pero walang nagbubukas ng gate” Raffy said

“Hindi ko pa kasi napalitan ng battery yung door bell, yung gwardya naman nandun sa kusina at naghahapunan na” Manang Fe said

“Dito magdi-dinner si Raffy Manang, sasabayan nya kami ni Thirdy” Athena said

“Aba oo naman, magtatampo ako kung hindi” Manang Fe said “Sandali at ipapahanda ko na ang hapunan” Manang Fe added before she left

"Okay wala na ulit si Manang Fe, pwede na ulit mag hug" Raffy said as he grabs Athena again for a hug. "Ang hirap naman, hindi ako maka-kiss" Raffy lamented

"Hay naku, pwede ba pumasok na tayo sa loob, malamig dito sa labas" Athena said

"Eh di mas maganda. Kulang pa nga ang lamig na yan, mas malamig sa Germany. Balik na lang tayong Dusseldorf right after Charmaine's wedding" Raffy replied

"Hindi pwede, three days after Ate's wedding pa ako babalik sa Germany" Athena said

"Sama ako ulit sa yo pabalik sa Dusseldorf" Raffy said

"Sira ka talaga" Athena chuckles "Kawawa naman si Kuya Randel kung matagal kang mawawala" Athena commented

"Sige na nga, konting tiis na lang naman. Kapag nafinalize na yung talk about sa purchase nung luxury ship mas may time na akong makasama ka" Raffy said

"Tuloy na ba yun?" Athena asked beaming

"Yes, sabi ni Daddy may konting revisions na lang daw sa contract. He did not gave up the whole luxury business. I think more than half of the shares is still his, kaya sya pa rin ang major stock holder yung partner lang nya ang magma-manage" Raffy said

"Hala eh di jobless ka na kapag naibenta na yung ibang shares ng business" Athena said

"Not exactly, I am considering a job in Germany. Sabi ni Dad mas ok na daw yung mag employed muna ako before we completely plan to build the institution" Raffy explained

"Great, at dahil dyan pumasok na tayo please kasi gutom na ako eh" Athena said.
