Chapter Sixty Nine

"Happy New year Raffy" Enzo first greeted Raffy. "We were not properly introduced. I am Enzo Sandoval eldest son of Efraim Sandoval" Enzo introduced himself and extended his hand for a handshake

Raffy had no choice but to accept the introduction and the hand shake

"Nice to meet you Enzo" Raffy said

"I heard so much about you from Charmaine and Athena" Enzo said. "I don't know if you saw Charmaine's IG post when they visited Zurich but I still want to apologize. I did not know about you then" Enzo said

"No need to apologize Enzo, both you and Charmaine do not know about our status" Raffy said

"I would also like to clarify that it was Tito Richard who insisted that Emily and I sleeps over in Athena's apartment" Enzo said

"Athena already explained it to me, I admit that I was not comfortable at first but I guess I have to trust my girl on that" Raffy said

"Thanks, I hope we could get along sometime. Let's go out before we leave New York" Enzo said

"As much as I want to, Athena and I need to fly back to Germany immediately, her school resumes on the third day of the year" Raffy replied

"I understand. Please take care of Athena then" Enzo said

"I certainly will, you don't have to tell me that. But still thank you for your concern to my girlfriend. I guess it is safe to say that, I believe that you are aware that she is already taken" Raffy straightly said and Enzo just beams at him

"You don't have to be rude to Enzo, Paeng" Charmaine said

"I am not rude, I was just being frank" Raffy replied

"Hey Charm, no big deal, I completely understand" Enzo said

"Pasensya ka na dito kay Paeng ha, palibhasa hindi maka-score kay Athena kaya maiinit ang ulo" Charmaine said

"It's perfectly alright Charm. By the way Raffy, Charmaine told me that Felicity is your sister" enzo said

"Yes she is. Have you two met before today?" Raffy asked

"Yes, I met her in Australia" Enzo said.

"I see. It seems that she is not happy to see you" Raffy frankly said.

"Obviously she is.  Anyway, that was just a little misunderstanding. I'll try to talk to her later" Enzo said "Please excuse me guys, I'll go get my drink" Enzo excused himself and leaves. He prefers to avoid talking about Felicity further unless he could clear the misunderstanding with her.

"That isn't being frank, but that was rude Paeng. You don't have to treat him that way. Enzo is a nice guy" Charmaine said

"That still remains to be seen, did you see how Ishi gets annoyed in his presence? Charm, this isn't about Athena only but the fact that Ishi is not comfortable having him around, it means he is not really as nice as you thought he is" Raffy said

"Can we not jump into conclusion please? We do not know the story behind Ishi and Enzo" Charmaine said

"Bahala ka kung ano ang gusto mong isipin, I still don't trust that friend of yours. Ishi is a nice person and does not get easily annoyed. Therefore if she does not like you, it means there is something wrong with you." Raffy said

"Ok let's not argue about Enzo anymore. Maiba ako, Athena said that you are traveling with her going back to Germany and Dad suggested that you stay in her apartment while you are in Germany? Is that true?" Charmaine asked

"Yes, nagulat nga din ako kay Tito Richard eh. I am not expecting him to suggest that. I was actually planning to ask him about that discreetly" Raffy said

"Try to convince Athena to tell the truth. Dad is already giving her a hint, she was just too stubborn. Ang magiging problema mo pa dyan, lagot ka kay Athena kapag nalaman nya na alam ng pala nila Daddy. Gigilitan ka nun sa leeg" Charmaine said

"Di baleng gilitan ako sa leeg, basta wag lang nya akong hihiwalayan" Raffy said

"Hala, di baleng mamatay basta wag lang mag-break? Kairita ka Paeng" Charmaine said

"Mahal ko lang talaga ang kapatid mo, masama ba yun?" Raffy asked

"Yes, kung nagpapa-under ka. Athena is very impulsive, Paeng, she needs someone who will remind her precautions of her actions not someone who will spoil her. Hindi yan matututo" Charmaine said

"You just thought that she is impulsive, she is actually not. Her actions are not thoughtless, because she cannot defend her point if she is unwary" Raffy explained

"But it does not mean that you'll just say yes to everything that she does" Charmaine said

"I am aware of that Charm, rest assured that we are on the same boat when it comes to Athena's happiness. We both know na ayaw ni Athena na dinidiktahan sya. Trust me on this Charm" Raffy said.

"Ikaw ang bahala, reminder lang yung sa akin" Charmaine said

"Thank you for the reminder. By the way, I haven't thank you yet for inviting us here" Raffy said to change their topic

"It was Tito Lucas who invited your family here, guest lang din ang buong pamilya namin dito" Charmaine said

"But that won't happen if you did not ask help from your fiancée" Raffy said.

"Nag-try lang naman ako, malay ko bang makakagawa ng paraan si Tristan" Charmaine said

"Grabe Charm, sobrang touch ako, botong-boto ka sa akin" Raffy teases

"Anong boto ang pinag-sasasabi mo dyan? Hindi tungkol sa iyo yun, it is for Athena, I know she will be sad so I asked Tristan's help" Charmaine said.

"Whatever you're reason is, I think you deserve that all expenses paid Caribbean cruise that I promise Ishi and Kuya Raniel, I will give that perks to whoever convinces my Dad to fly to New York to celebrate the holidays" Raffy said

"Seryoso ba yan Paeng, all expenses paid cruise? Sa aming dalawa ni Tristan?" Charmaine confirms

"Yes for you and Tristan, pwede nang pang honeymoon yun di ba?" Raffy said beaming

"Woowwww.... Thanks Paeng. Kaya nga ba botong-boto ako sa yo para kay Athena eh" Charmaine declared

Seryoso Charmaine, parang kanina lang sabi mo hindi ka boto kay Paeng para kay Athena. Lakas maka-iba ng statement ang all expensea paid cruise. 😛😉🤔
