"Silver Eyes?"
I turn towards the voice to see Blake.
His black hair falls into his brown eyes as he meets my gaze.
"Yes?"
I ask looking up from the papers over Blood Arrow's compound.
"The vehicles are ready along with a few volunteers that want to help out."
"Good, I'll have my friends get dressed and then we'll head out."
I answer settings the papers and notes down.
"Okay, I'll meet you by the garage."
I nod in agreement before walking over to where Monroe and Asher are taking a break from training.
"Hello, Silver Eyes."
Monroe says in a teasing manner.
"Hello to you too, Deadbolt."
I plop down beside them before looking at Asher.
"And you? Have you chosen a name yet lover boy?"
He turns to meet Monroe's gaze with a smirk.
"Well, I'm thinking BulletProof."
"BulletProof?"
"Yeah. Monroe picked it out earlier while training."
"Ah, I see."
I nod in understanding.
I hear footsteps approach and look over my shoulder to see Luke dressed like the Red Lion.
He wears a bulletproof vest, black pants, combat boots and a belt that holds several weapons. Red paint covers his face around his eyes. He carries a stack of clothes in his hands before passing them out between the three of us.
"Here, go change into these."
Luke says and they nod.
"Okay."
"The bathrooms are right that way."
The three of us go to the bathroom to change.
I slip on the clothing before strapping the belt at my waist. I clip on several knives and two holsters on both hips for two pistols.
I walk out of the bathroom to see Monroe and Asher both dressed in similar clothing and Luke with several containers of paint.
"Catch!"
He tosses me a bottle of black paint.
"Deadbolt."
Luke states before tossing a maroon paint bottle into her hands.
"BulletProof."
Luke then tosses a bottle of white paint to Asher.
"Why do we have paint?"
Asher asks as I poor some into my hands.
"You don't want Blood Arrow's gang to recognize your face."
I answer swiping the paint across my upper face like a mask.
"Here."
Asher says rubbing some maroon paint around Monroe's eyes before adding a few designs along the edge.
"My turn!"
Monroe then adds the white paint to his face  like a ninja turtle mask before adding war lines across his cheeks.
"So, we ready yet?"
I ask and they nod grabbing their weapons.
Monroe with a pistol at her side and a sniper rifle strapped to her back.
Asher with sheaths on both sides of his belt barring knives.
"Then lets go."
I follow them to the vehicles where a group of forty or so people wait dressed and ready.
"You're the group going with me to Blood Arrow's base?"
I ask earning a nod from each member.
"Good, it's time to head out."
I state causing them all to quickly climb into their vehicles.
Luke, Asher, Monroe and I climb into a black van.
"Monroe?"
"Yes?"
"Have you heard anything from James and Avery?"
I ask concern filling my voice.
"They're safe."
Monroe nods and I smile.
Good.
"You know there's no shame in leaving. Only retreat."
I murmur still worrying about Monroe.
Just because her and her lover boy passed basic training with flying colors does not mean I'm comfortable with them putting themselves in danger.
"What's the difference?"
"With leaving, you're choosing not to do something. Retreat is when you give up."
I answer causing her to frown.
"I'm staying, both options are bad. Leaving is the same as not trying at all."
I frown and look to Asher in hopes that he'll take her home where it's safe before it's to late.
But no.
Monroe had to choose someone just as stubborn as her.
With both wanting to help I'm a little out numbered considering I don't want her to hate me afterwards.
I sigh feeling defeated.
Nothing better happen to them.
"Okay then. Off to Blood Arrow's base we go."
I murmur under my breath.
