Chapter Ten: Professor Benedict

As an offensive attack, users can use their force field inside other people to control, manipulate, explode and reduce the oxygen inside so that the opponent could die. It could be really dangerous if it is enhanced with technology.

Napatigil si Raiden sa pagbabasa nang umupo sa harapan niya si Lyon bitbit ang mga librong pinili niya. Raiden looked at the books and his eyebrow immediately shot up when he noticed that the titles were not related with her mystique. It was strange.

"Strange and Stranger. Really? What's that?" Napatigil si Lyon sa pagbabasa nang tinanong iyon ni Raiden. His eyes moved up to meet Raiden's looks.

"Nothing. Curious lang ako." He simply said but Raiden wasn't satisfied. He always gives meaning to things and he knew there was something.

Nahalata ni Lyon ang pagtataka at pagdududa sa mga mata ni Raiden kaya tinaasan niya ang kaniyang kanang kamay. "Promise." He stated and continued reading. Raiden just blinked and sighed. Hindi na lang niya ito pinilit at nagbasa na lang din.

Natigil sila sa pagbabasa nang may narinig silang nag-aaway sa shelve na katabi nila which is the 'defense section.' Lyon and Raiden looked to each other before they turned their heads to their left direction. Sumalubong ang kilay ni Raiden nang makita sila Aleah at Jackson na nag-aaway doon. They were just whispering their words but it was evident that they were fighting.

"I'm the first who saw that book!" Aleah exclaimed with his soft voice pero halata ang pagka-inis sa kaniyang mga mata.

"So what? Ako naman ang unang nakakuha nito." Sagot ni Jackson sa kaniyang mayabang na tono ng boses.

"Syempre, matangkad ka kaya nakuha mo kaagad!"

Raiden and Lyon looked to each other again and they smirked when they realized something between Jackson and Raiden.

"Patititgilan ba natin?" Tanong ni Raiden dahil baka marinig ito ng librarian.

"Hayaan mo na. They looked cute and I doubt na maririnig ng librarian. She's too old."

Tumawa ang dalawa habang umiiling sila. Raiden was happy since he has something to tease with Jackson. Bilang ganti na rin dahil sa pag-aasar sakanya ni Jackson kahapon.

The time went fast and now it's already their Mystique Mechanism and tama nga si Professor Xello dahil tinanong na kaagad ni Professor Helena ang kanilang na-research tungkol sa kapangyarihan nila. They are inside their classroom since Professor Helena decided to do a written activity first before an actual one.

"Write in that paper what you've researched and I will read it later. So that tomorrow, we can start enhancing your mystique." Professor Helena snapped her hands and in just a second, there were already brown papers im their tables.

Nadalian si Raiden sa pagsusulat dahil naalala naman niya ang lahat ng kaniyang binasa kanina. He was really excited for this class dahil dito talaga lalakas ang kaniyang kapangyarihan. Lyon was already writing and he didn't feel any difficulty even though he didn't read any of his powers earlier. Matagal na kasi niyang alam ang kaniyang kapangyarihan mula bata pa. Well, he was writing about his heaven power that he inherited from his father. Si Jackson naman ay nahihirapan dahil konti lang ang impormasyon na nabasa niya dahil nag-agawa pa sila ni Aleah dito. It was one of the reasons why they are not talking today. Galit kasi sila sa isa't isa.

"Hey, easy pal. Baka hindi mo na naman ma-kontrol si JJ mamaya."

Lyon advised him the time they were done with their Mystique Mechanism subject. Napansin kasi ni Lyon ang inis sa mga mata ni Jackson.
