Escape;

54 10 1

It starts behind the nose

a light twitch

an airy burn

that's how I know

I'm letting go,

In that awakening alarm

I either decide to hold back

the seas behind my eyes

or set them free

into the night

suddenly my hands

feel cold

heavy, weighed down by the stones

that I tied on,

my very bones

my own foolish boat

that kept me afloat

is long gone down the road

of things I simply

could not own

collapse against the coast

take me away,

somewhere

high

drift only to the sky

into the stars

where I no longer have to feel

the pain that rewrites my name

and has become

who I am remained

an empty body

a mindless light

thrown inbetween

a shadeless night.
