Without you.

When she tells me,

she thinks I might leave her,

I secretly laugh inside,

on the exterior I act angry,

annoyed,

compromised.

It humors me intently,

that she somehow believes I'd

let her go,

almost as though the earth,

would disregard the sun's glow-

even though the earth is dependent,

on the life in which that fire brings,

for without heat, the world is simply incomplete-

for to lose her,

would equate to losing my mind,

to throwing away my life,

sinking through the sand, of time,

I spend without her,

I am like an autumns day,

falling apart, blowing away

a complete solar eclipse is my heart,

when you are away,

I'm not inconstant as the others baby,

I'm here to stay.
