Amari’s Point of View:
I cannot believe she told me she was in love with someone else. I feel like such an idiot. I knew something was going on between them but I was too naïve to realize it. I decided to call Kim.
“Hello?” Kim said.
“Hey.”
“Amari Wassup” Kim said.
“Nothing really just want to talk.” I said.
“Oh well you know Asia wants to see you. I told her that that you were coming by.” Kim said.
“Okay I’ll be over and I guess we could talk then.” I said
. “Okay see you when you get here.” Kim said. I hung up the phone.
I looked at myself in the mirror.I guess I deserved it because I was unfaithful in my last relationship. I grab my keys and phone and head out the door. The fifteen minute ride to Kim house seemed to take forever. Finally I arrive at her house. I got out the car and headed to the door. I ring the door bell. “Hey.” Asia said answering the door and hugging me as I stepped inside.
“Hey where is Kim?”
“In the living room.” Asia said. I head to the living room.
“I guess I’ll start talking.” I said.
“Wait I’ve got some news.” Kim said.
I hope it’s not bad news.
“Jamaya is getting married to Demarius.” Kim announces.
“Oh that’s nice.” I said.
“She wanted me to be a part of the wedding and I wanted to invite you.” Kim said.
Nope don’t wanna go all I am going to do is think about Kim and sulk the whole time.
“That’s cool.” I said even though I didn’t want to go.
Kim is not going to take no for an answer.
“Great.” Kim said.
“So when is the wedding?” I asked.
“In two days, we gotta do rehearsal tomorrow.” Kim said.
“Keisha and I broke up.” I immediately come out with the news to her.
“Dang I’m sorry. Wanna talk about it?” Kim said.
“Well long story short, she is in love with her best friend who is a guy.”
“Wow I’m so sorry.” Kim said hugging me for comfort.
A tear rolled down my face. “I feel so stupid.”
“You’re not stupid, it’s her loss.” Kim said.
“I agree with Kim. She is the stupid one.” Asia said. “
Were you listening to our conversation Asia?” Kim asked.
“Yeah duh, I may be 17 be I know that she doesn’t deserve you uncle. I overheard everything, I’m so sorry.” Asia said.
“I’ll be okay.” I said.
“I know you will.” Kim said.
“Wanna watch a movie to take your mind off things?” Asia asked.
“Sure I’d love to.” I said.
We watch a movie and laugh and talk. Even though I’m hurting, I’m going try and move on from her.
