Episode: Season 5 - Dark Side of the Moon Pt. 1

"Come on, Parker, we're gonna be late! Dean can and will eat all the pie we packed!" Sam called to me from outside.

I rolled my eyes, grabbing my duffel-bag from the stairs before bolting towards the front door. But a hand grabbed my wrist, spinning me back into the person. Musky cologne filled my nose and I smiled up at Hal just as I heard music drift into the house from the Impala's radio.

"How do I get better once you've had the best..." Katy Perry sang.

The song tugged at my heartstrings and I felt an ache there but tried to ignore it.

"Were you gonna walk out without saying goodbye?" he pouted and I giggled at how adorable he looked.

Rolling my eyes briefly, I reached up on tip-toe to peck his lips once. But as soon as I broke away, he pulled me back in for a longer, more passionate kiss. His lips were soft like rose petals on mine, gliding smoothly with my own.

"He kissed my lips, I taste your mouth..."

He was a natural at this but my mind kept going back to the way Dean would kiss me. And how...how I wanted so much for his mouth to be his instead... Finally, we broke away and he grinned down at me.

"He pulled me in, I was disgusted with myself..."

"Now, I want you back in one piece. You hear me, firecracker?" he smiled, arching an eyebrow at me as he pulled me to his chest.

Laughing slightly, I nodded, "Sure, sure. One piece, got it."

I gave him one last peck on the lips before snatching up the duffel-bag once more and running out to the waiting Impala. As soon as I got there though, I heard Dean throw something at Sam, cursing and yelling about how he wanted rock music instead. Sam grumbled but obliged and on came another song. I grinned when I recognized the beat.

"Hey Miss Murder can I? Hey Miss Murder can I? Make beauty stay if I take my life?" the lead singer of AFI sang out as I crawled into the backseat.

Dean started up the engine then and spun out in the dirt as we got on the road.

"With just a look, they shook and heavens bowed before him, simply a look can break your heart," I sang along loudly and Sam laughed out loud.

"The stars that pierce the sky, he left them all behind," Sam joined in, grinning as he sang.

"We're left to wonder why he left us all...behind!" Dean continued the song, pounding on the steering wheel as if it were drums.

"Hey Miss Murder can I? Hey Miss Murder can I? Make beauty stay if I take my life?" we all sang, headbanging to the music.

A few hours later, we arrived at a new motel and tiredly, we all piled into our room. I dibbed the twin bed in the middle and Sam begrudgingly took the one next to the wall while Dean got the one by the window like usual. Flopping down in bed with a yawn, I kicked off my Converse and let them fall to the floor before burrowing down into the blankets. Sleep overtook me only a few minutes later. I don't know how long I was asleep though before a voice woke me.

"Looking for this?" a unfamiliar voice asked.

Rolling over in my bed, I came face-to-face with the barrel of a gun. My heartbeat sped up and I tried to reach for my gun on the nightstand but the gun only inched closer, making me stop cold.

"Morning," Dean said raspily.

I tried to ignore the butterflies that gathered in my stomach at his morning voice. Stupid morning voice. Sitting up in bed slightly, I looked over to see Sam already awake and doing the same.

"Shut up. Hands where I can see them," the stranger said, masks covering him and the other man's faces.

We all put our hands up but Dean tilted his head to the side when he did, "Wait a minute. Is that you, Roy? It is, isn't it? Which makes you Walt. Hey, Walt,"

The two men shared a look before ripping off their black masks.

"Well, is it me or do you two seem a tad upset?" Dean asked them.

"You think you can flip the switch on the apocalypse and just walk away, Sam?" the one called Walt asked Sam.

"Who told you that?" Sam asked him softly.

"We ain't the only hunters after you," he informed us, cocking his gun.

Sam flinched at the sound and so did I.

"See you in the next life,"

"Hear me out. I can explain. Okay? Please." Sam pleaded with the man.

Walt looked at Sam long and hard, silence ensuing. But just when I let my guard down, just when I thought everything would be okay... He pulled the trigger twice and two bullets burst forth from the chamber, hitting Sam squarely in the chest. He let out a groan as he fell back on the bed with a thud. A strangled cry emitted from my lips as Dean and I made a move to go to my best friend's side. But the gun blocked our way.

"Stay down, "Roy yelled out.

"Shoot him," Walt insisted.

"Killing Sam was right, but Dean and Parker..."

"He made us and we just snuffed his brother, you idiot. You wanna spend your life knowing Dean and Parker's coming after you? Because I don't. Shoot them. Go ahead, Roy,"

My heart clenched in my chest, my breath coming in raggedy gasps as I stared at Sam lying there, lifeless and covered in blood. He was dead...Sammy was dead... My brown eyes hardened then and I turned to the men, glaring at them dangerously.

"Go ahead, Roy. Do it. But I'm gonna warn you, when I come back I'm gonna be mad," Dean told them venomously.

"And I'll be coming back too. And you better hope that you can get away. Because I will hunt you down and make sure that you have a slow, agonizing death. I'll maim you and torture you until you BEG for death," I spat, my eyes like fire in my skull.

"Come on! Let's get this show on the road." Dean told him gruffly, green eyes hard.

"Come on already." Walt sighed in exasperation, cocking the gun before shooting Dean in the chest.

A shriek ripped from my throat as I watched him fall back on the bed with a groan. Suddenly, the gun fired again and I felt myself being thrown back into the mattress. Warm blood oozed from my abdomen as pain spread throughout my body. I turned my head slightly to see Dean, eyes wide open but lifeless on the bed beside me. A whimper bubbled up in my throat and as everything began to get darker, I reached out to him. My fingers found his and I clung to him for dear life as finally, all fell away and I was left with complete and utter darkness.
