45~Confession

We walked to one of my favourite places to get drinks which was this bubble tea place near by my house.

"Since it's your birthday, what do you want to drink?" I asked.

"Your favourite drink." He smiled.

"Okay." I ordered in English.

"That will be $8.35." The man said in English.

I payed and we both got our drinks and sat down.

"What do I say..."

Jungkook began sipping on his drink.

"Why aren't you drinking your drink? It tastes good." He asked.

"Oh yeah..."

Jungkook's pov

I saw her slowly drinking her drink.

"I should confess to her today. I have to let my feelings out even if she rejects." I thought.

"Uhm, Jungkook? Let's go shopping!" She said.

"I'll buy you anything." She smiled.

"Oh. No... You don't have to. Let's walk around a bit." I said declining.

"Let's watch a movie." She suggested.

There was an upstairs to the mall and we lined up.

"What movie? Horror, funny, romance?" She asked.

"Uhm. Whatever you want." I said.

"No, you choose."

We started to argue and it was our turn when the lady said "can i help the next person?"

She chose some random movie.

She bought everything; the popcorn, movie tickets, drinks.

I didn't want her to buy it all...

We sat on the back where it was dark and we see no one.

She sighed as we sat down. "We made it in time." She whispered.

Christine's pov

I chose a random movie that was on a screen and figured out it was romance.

"Jungkook give me some popcorn too!" I whispered-yelled.

I saw him hogging the popcorn eating cutely and he gave me the bag.

I didn't think Jungkook understaned the English movie.

"Jungkook... Do you understand?" I asked.

"Just some words." He whispered back.

I leaned my head on his shoulders.

It was almost the end of the movie, Jungkook tapped my shoulder.

"They're finally about to kiss..." He spoke.

"Yeah... I know."

"Christine?..."

I made a 'hm' sound and looked up.

"Yeah?"

"I... I like you." He said as I stared at him.

"Really?" I said as my heart skipped a beat.

He nodded and came for a kiss.

I kissed him back but not long and I pulled away.

I didn't say anything after. It was just... I couldn't say anything.

The movie finished and we walked home in silence.

I unlocked the door but before we walked in Jungkook grabbed my wrist.

"Christine... Will you be my girlfriend?"

"What? No. I can't. But I don't want to break his heart... But I can't." I thought.

"Sorry Jungkook... I can't and I hope you understand." I turned around to open the door but I turned back to give him a smile before I opened it.

Jungkook pov

She rejected... I knew it. I'm not good enough. I have a terrible personality. I'm terrible in general.

We walked inside the house and we both walked upstairs.

I'm guessing everyone was sleeping.

We both looked at each other a last time and smiled before I walked into my room.

"Hi birthday boy! What did you do today?"

I told him everything, including the confession.

"I'm sorry Kook, but my sister knows you well that you might hurt her." Hoseok said. "Me and the guys all knew." 

I sat on the bed beside him.

"Knew about what?" I asked.

"That you liked her from the beginning. I'm sorry."

"Don't be hyung. It's not your fault."

Christine's pov

"Hi Aera." I said with my head hung low.

"What did you do with him today?" She said teasingly.

"He confessed to me... Aera... He actually did it..."

She gasped. "Then why are you sad?" She said as she came to sit beside me on the bed.

"Because..." I sighed. "Because I declined... or rejected."

She gasped again. "What? Why?"

"As I told you... He's a play boy. But I also love him..." I said.

"But he makes you happy..."

"I know... I love being around him Aera..." I said as she lifted my chin.

"I know you Christine. You love him so why? What are you afraid of?"

"I'm afraid he might hurt me Aera. And plus it won't work out because when I tell him I'm going to be living here it's a long distance thing."

"What? You're going to stay here?"

I nodded. "I'm going back to Korea for a few more months and coming back to live here for good. And I might find someone else here..." I put a fake smile on.

"Don't say that. But it's whatever makes you happy... Goodnight." She said going to her bed.

"Goodnight."

I said turning off the lights and going to bed.

Thinking about him and only him.
