-PERCY POV-

We were currently in another one of those huts, where their thatched roof almost reached the floors, leaving the front and back bare. Only this time, there were flowers around the doorway and there was an actual door  plastered at the front. I could only guess this was Moana's own hut.

After she let me take a shower, change back into my dry clothes, and check on my boat, we got to work trying to figure out the words. We tried to translate everything and we'd come with one conclusion: the map I had brought me to where I wanted it to.

Well, congrats to me. All it took was surviving a huge storm and crashing on an island where the internet was about as foreign as real education in America.

I shook my head. Couldn't believe my luck. I would just have to hope that I doesn't ware of yet.

"So according to this page, we have to find a gem first. It's the size of a fist, midnight black and the shape of coal." Moana told me, reading from the open book and pointing at the drawings he drew on the side.

"Okay... and what do we do once we have it?"

"Uh..." She flipped a few pages as she sat crossed legged on the floor, biting her highlighter pen. "Oh! Here it is... it says we have to place it in a slot once we found the stone then turn it like a dial. So that means we also need a number combination he hid somewhere in another island."

I sighed. "That's two islands and one invisible one altogether."

Moana shrugged. "We have unlimited time, don't we?"

I looked up at her from the spot I had on the carpet. "About that... We only have two weeks before my guardian - if you can call him that - decides to send a fully armed battalion to search for me."

Her face was stricken when she closed the book. "Well that won't do! That only leaves us with one choice."

"And that choice is...?"

"We need to find Maui. Ask for his help, he knows his way throughout the waves. Then we sail at night, Motunui behind us." She said, smiling as if she was excited for herself.

"Maui? That demigod guy?" I asked.

"Yes. Like you!"

I rolled my eyes and stood up, already on my way to go check out my boat. I may be slow, but I'm not that stupid to just allow someone to see through my identity. Even if they do claim to have a demigod friend that's name sounds like a fish. I wonder if fishes feel wet-

"For the last time, Moana! I am not a demigod."

Her eyes narrowed on mine as she leaned forward with her hands on her hips. "You said it yourself."

"Yes. With something called sarcasm." I said, stepping out of the room. "Look, I'll meet this Maui guy if you want me too. Just to satisfy you, okay?"

She rolled her eyes, a tentative smile on her lips. "Are you saying you don't believe me?"

I nodded. "Absolutly."

"Fine then. Meet me at the shore at 5. One of us is crazy and it sure is not me." She winked.

I was sitting on a wooden log - that reminded me of camp - with Moana, admiring the soft noises and movements that were made when the waves crashed onto the sand or stones. There were a lot of palm trees here, and a ton of boats as well. Every now and then I would see a few of the villagers here go in groups of three or four with fish traps.
