She looked so weak, she looked like her brother.
Needles was stucked into her arm and her lips were still a little bluish as well as her fingers
"Kim Jisoo-ssi has ARDs-"
"What the heck is that?"
"Im sorry, but i dont have time to explain that to you."the doctor said and went in the room.
I sat outside till her parents came, they shot me a confused look but they chose to check on their daughter's condition first
"Taehyung-ah, what happened? Did you bring jisoo here?"imo asked and i nodded
"S-she came with me to fetch my sister at the airport"they all letted out frustrated sighs
"Jeosonghamnida"i said and did several full 90 degree bow
"Kumanhe, its not your fault taehyung. Jisoo should have told you but she's such a stubborn girl sometimes you know?"samchon said smiling a little bit
"Jinjja joseonghaeyo"i said still bowing to them
"Ah its okay i say. Are you still jisoo's friend?"i heard samchon asked and i immediately raised my head with widened eyes
"I-im her boyfriend..."
"Omo? Jinjjaro? Im happy for you guys!"her mom exclaimed. They looked so used to this situation.
"I will understand if you give up on her, do you already know whats her case?"samchon calmly ask, i shook my head
He told me that it was the worst case of ARDS other known as Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. It was totally new to me. He said that fluids leak from her blood vessels a-and builds up in her tiny air sacs inside her lungs which causes this to work improperly thats why she has a hard time breathing, if the oxygen doesnt go to her other body parts it will not work. Some cases of it was simple but jisoo had the worst, they thought seokjin hyung had the worst but no. Seokjin hyung has ARDS too but he was slowly developing because of the machines attached to him.
Jisoo's case was another level, the doctor said the machines will be a waste of money for she was close to a hopeless case. They tried saving her by sucking the fluids every monday, so thats why she was always absent during mondays but every week, every monday, everytime they check on her condition...it was just getting worse and worse and worse.
"Waeyo? Why didnt you tell me sooner?"i asked, my voice was cracking a little
It hurts me. Knowing the only girl i have ever truly loved for the first time is badly sick, we havent even celebrated our first monthsary yet.
She smiled bitterly and looked away
"I thought you didnt have to kno-"
"What do you take me for Kim Jisoo?! Of course i have to know!"i saw her flinch when i raised my voice a little
"N-no...thats not what i meant taehyung"
"Then?"
"I...i just dont want to see you cry just like lisa and jennie...and of course my parents, just thinking about it hurts me more than having this needles in me. Im sorry i have to drag you into my selfishness" she took a deep breath before muttering these words "what i really mean is you cant know taehyung, y-you cant cry "she said and bowed but i saw how a tear escaped her beautiful eyes, no dont cry
I scooted over and hugged her
My heart constricted seeing her cry for the first time, it constricted more thinking about it.
"I know its dumb that..im hoping that you wont be sad even though i dragged you into this mess but please taehyung. And im really sorry. Sorry for everything. For keeping it from you...i dont know why i thought you didnt have to--i was scared taehyung. You were my world, the world where i believe im not sick. Im afraid that world will collapse as soon as you knew...its not just what you made me feel. Its what you will feel when you know, i cant help but sometimes regret talking to you because damn taehyung, it hurts the most seeing you sad. It hurts when my loved ones are sad...especially when im the reason."
I became speechless
"But who ami kidding? Of course you guys will be sad."
"Dont go jisoo...please"i begged and started to tear up, i just cant help but to. Jisoo doesnt like this action Taehyung. Dont cry. No.
"Haha who said about leaving taehyung? Im not leaving nor going anywhere"she said as i pulled away. Her laugh was like a symphony never heard
"Yah dont stare at me taehyung, im not at my best state!"she said and covered herself, i smiled and held her hand and enclosed it with mine
"You still look ethereal jisoo even with your bluish lips and fingers. Even if you have tubes in your nose. Even if you're full of needles."i muttered and kissed her hand which had a needle in it
She smiled.
