After that moment, months passed. Jamal was becoming more and more known and famous as he was ranked as one of the best players of the Baltimore Ravens team in his first season in the NFL. After his honeymoon, he stayed in Toronto for the winter break, but by January he and Hakim had to go back to Maryland as their semester had just started again. During his stay, he wanted to enjoy his family life as peacefully as possible, but it turned out the other way around. When we walked down the street with him, everyone knew him and had eyes only for him. He was rich, famous, handsome and Christian. So he attracted a lot of attention, especially from women. This began to bother Estephania. Especially because women touched him in front of her eyes, took pictures with him and were hitting on him like she wasn't there.

As for Malik, he had won all his junior boxing fights against his rivals. He was becoming more and more known in the boxing world. With his relationship with Britanny, they were both private. Everyone knew they were together and spent all their time together through Britanny's Instagram and Snapchat and sometimes Malik's ones but nobody knew what they were doing. It was obvious that he really did love her because I've never seen him put so much effort and act so well with a girl. With her, he was a Malik that even I did not know.

As for the friendship between Darell and me, it was going strangely well. We used to hang out together with my friends and his. Until the day, he met Thyana who is Angolan in one of his classes. Thyana was nothing like Salmiya, she was really nice, friendly, reserved, funny and not only that, she was beautiful. The sweetness in this girl's personality was the kind of character that Darell liked and I knew it because that's why he was attracted by me. From the beginning of their friendship, as much as I liked Thyana, I knew right away that if I didn't do something to get Darell back, I would lose him forever...

It was the Friday of the first week of February. That afternoon, I was in the cafeteria with Darell, his friends and Thyana waiting for our respective classes. The girls had no class today. I had known Thyana for a month now. I had noticed that she and Darell were spending more and more time together, but I had no problem with it. To tell the truth, their relationship had never bothered me, since I never considered it a threat.

"Are you going to the Quincy event tonight?" asked Thyana

"Yeah!" said Darell's friends with emotion to show the obviousness of the question.

"For sure!"  Replied Darell.

"Same for me and you?" I asked her.

"I crossed him earlier in the hallways and he invited me, but I don't know if I'll come," she said.

"What! On God, you bugging! You cannot miss Quincy's events! Who in this neighbourhood would be crazy enough to miss one of his events?" said one of Darell's friends.

"He's right though, you gotta come," said another of Darell's friends.

"Plus, he invited you personally! Do you know how many people wish they could come?" said another of Darell's friends.

"Yeah, it's for real! His events are fire! We gotta give it to him. He only hosts one a year and this year it appears it's going to be epic, " Darell said to her.

"Malik told me that Jamal and Hakim have invited their football guys. They are big players man and they're coming. The girls will definitely jump on them but so will I! I want an autograph!" said Darell's first friend who had spoken earlier. Everyone started laughing.

"I feel you man! Speaking of Malik, do you know if he's coming Dahila?" Darell said.

"Are you really asking me?" I said. Everyone started laughing.  Then Darell's three friends left the table to go to their classes. Only Darell, Thyana and I were left.
