Chapter 25

"Yes ma'am." I nodded. "Father of three."

"What's their names?"

"Well this little girl is Claire-Elizabeth." I smiled.

"Then I have twin sons. This one is Patrick." I said pointing him out. "And this one is Phoenix."

"Wow. How cute are they!" she smiled. "You are one lucky fellow."

"Thank you ma'am."

"And you have one lucky wife. Look how handsome you are."

"Well thank you... but I don't have a wife. I have a partner."

"Oh." she nodded. "Then he's lucky to have you."

I smiled at her for not being a homophobe.

"So? Why are you here?" she asked.

"My partner Louis is really sick. We are checking him out to see if he's okay."

"I'm sure he will be." she smiled.

"Why are you here may I ask?"

"My daughter is having open heart surgery."

"Oh..." I said in shock. "I hope everything works out okay ma'am."

"Oh, call me Dory."

"Okay." I nodded. "My name is Harry." I smiled.

"Nice to meet you Harry. But yes, I hope Lauren ends up okay. I couldn't bare to tell her wife Quinn that she didn't make it."

I looked surprised at that.

Explains why she accepted me.

I then changed to the next baby.

"Those three must be a handful."

"They really are." I nodded.

"Are you and Louis going to have any more?"

"I'm not sure. I think we are good at the moment."

Dory laughed at that.

"What?" I asked.

"I have five kids. All girls. I handled it just fine."

"What are all their names?"

"Well... theres Stacey, then Gracie, then Lauren, then Fran, and then Wendy."

"Woe... all those girls."

"I know! And I was a single mother. Their father Albert passed a month after Wendy was born and I never found someone to replace him."

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

"Oh." she said waving it off. "That was years ago."

I then changed to the last baby.

"Well, the twins mom, who I was close with, just passed away a few months ago. It's been pretty hard for Louis and I."

"Oh, I'm sorry Harry."

"It's okay Dory. I know Danny wouldn't want us crying over her for too long."

Dory smiled.

"It's always better to just move on."

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Lauren Evens?" A doctor then called out.

"That's me." Dory spoke out. She then turned to me and said, "It was nice talking to you Harry."

"You too." I smiled.

Dory then walked off with the doctor to hear about Lauren.

Just then, Dr. King came and got me too.

I then gathered everyone up and went into the room with Louis who was looking ghost white.

"What's wrong?" I asked worried.

"I'm a father of four." Louis spoke and then looked up at me with a smile.

"What?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah." Louis nodded and then started crying. "I'm pregnant again."

My mouth dropped.

"Holy... shit."

"You're okay right?" Louis asked worried.

"Yes, I'm okay." I nodded with a smile.

"Well." King spoke happily. "Remember, it only takes seven months for men, so your baby is due sometime in July."

I walked over to Louis and gave him the biggest hug before saying, "I think this is the perfect time to give you your Christmas gift."

"What?" Louis asked. "Now?"

"Yes." I nodded. "Now."

"Well... what is it?"

"Louis, our family just keeps growing..." I laughed and he laughed too. "Everything is just moving along... well except for us."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean... we have kids together. Four now." I said touching his tummy. "It's time to take it to the next level."

"What are you saying?"

I then dropped to one knee.

"Louis William Tomlinson... will you make me the happiest man in the universe... and marry me?"
