Chapter 31
Nick's POV
I pulled up to my big white house and parked my car in the spacey garage next to
the black Camero with silver racing stripes. Then I walked out and smelled some
of the roses growing in the front before slowly turning the doorknob. I shut the
door loudly enough to be heard and took off my shoes.
"DADDY!" My curly haired little girl cried as she ran towards me.
"How's daddy's princess?" I asked, hugging her.
"I'm good, how was tour?" She questioned.
"It was alright, but I missed you." I answered, kissing her head.
"I missed you, too." She said.
"Dad!" My curly haired little boy called as he ran towards me with outstretched
arms.
"I missed you." I stated when he ran into my arms.
"I missed you, too." He said.
"Where's mommy?" I asked.
"Cleaning." He rolled his little brown eyes.
"In the kitchen?" I guessed and he nodded before running off with his sister.
I walked towards the kitchen and sure enough, there she was. I snuck up behind
her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Hi."
"You're home!" She cried and spin around to face me.
"I missed you." I said again.
"I missed you, too." She kissed me.
"Ew!" The kids yelled.
"How about you two go wash up for dinner?" She asked.
"Okay." They whined.
"I'll help." I said and followed them to the bathroom.
After dinner and some TV, we gave the kids a bath. Then I read them a story and
tucked them in.
"So, how was tour?" Liz asked, walking out of the bathroom when I walked back
into our room.
"It was alright." I shrugged and started to roll the sheets on the bed down.
She tried to get on the bed so I walked over and helped her, "At least you're
home now." She beamed, wrapped her arms around my neck, and pulled me close.
"Yeah." I nodded and moved my hands to her baby bump, "And I promise to never be
gone for that long ever, ever again."
"Good." She smiled and kissed me.
"So how are you feeling, angel?" I asked when we pulled away.
"Well-"
"Nick...Nick...NICK!" Joe shouted, shaking me from my thoughts.
"What?" I growled.
"We're trying to have a band meeting, but we can't with you daydreaming the
whole time." Kevin said and got up.
"Sorry." I mumbled.
"What's up with you, dude? You've been acting weird all day." Joe asked.
"It's nothing." I shrugged.
