While strolling through one of the Petting Zoo's many woodlands, you spy a curious looking creature, one that, in its own way, appears stranger than any other you have ever seen.
It was a mixture of fox and brightly plumed bird. It had the basic form of a fox, even the same colored fur, and a long, sinuous neck. However, it also had two large, red, black and white wings, with four taloned paws for feet. Its fox face had a beak in the stead of a muzzle, and several red feathers poking from its fur. It was climbing a tree when you spot it, scampering up when it suddenly stopped, and turned its neck to look at you as well. Bright yellow eyes looked into your own, before it gave out a sudden squawk, and took off, flying up into the canopy.
This strange hybrid is a vosgel, a once common forest creature found throughout Europe and North America, as well as a few parts in Asia, before it was wiped out and became near extinct. However, in the Petting Zoo, the vosgels are quite common once more, found everywhere in Salumine.
