"Why would I do that? I have no where else to go."

"I don't know. I'm sorry. Just tell me if you leave to go places, okay? There isn't anyone here for you right now so if you got hurt or anything and they wouldn't call me because they couldn't."

"I did."

"No you didn't."

"Yeah I did." I got up and went to the counter and grabbed my untouched note, "See? I went out, I'll be back soon!" I read, then gave the note to Dan.

"The fuck? Okay, you had to just have put that there because that was not there." He said.

"It's been there since like this morning." I told Dan. Dan read it over again, then looked to the counter.

"Sorry." He sighed.

"It's fine." I assured him.

"It's settled, we solved the mystery. You went out and didn't leave and Dan was just jumping to conclusions. Good job Dan." Phil said laughing and patting Dan's shoulder. He got up and went to his room.

"Dan, when I went out, there was this little small booth on the pavement and they sold bracelets," I said while digging around in my bag trying to find the thing I bought for Dan. After finding it, I continued, "I took it upon myself and had them make one like this." I said to Dan and handed him the bracelet. Dan looked me in the eyes, like he was asking for permission to touch it. I nodded and he took it and was looking at it.

"Is this for me?" Dan asked.

"Yeah, I thought I'd give you something because you've been so nice to me." I told him.

"That's what friends do." Dan told me smiling. He tried to tie the bracelet himself but I grabbed his hand, took the bracelet, and started to tie it for him.

While I was tying it, I noticed that I was so close to Dan's face. I looked away from his eyes and finished tying it onto his wrist, adding yet another bracelet to the small collection he already had.

"I like it. Thanks Arizona." Dan said, pulling me into a quick hug.

"You're welcome." I said into his shoulder. He pulled away, leaving me less warm. He radiates so much heat. I wouldn't even had needed more than one blanket last night, he kept me warm.

"Wanna watch a movie?" Dan asked me once he had pulled away.

"Yeah, sure. What movies do you have?" I asked him.

"Go over there," Dan said pointing to a shelf full of DVDs, video games, and books, "pick one out. I'll get the crisps." He went over to the kitchen and I went to the shelf.

Guilt Trip, Hunger Games, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe, This Is Us, The Switch. Wait, what?

"Dan!" I yelled so he could hear me in the kitchen.

"Yeah?" He said back, walking in the living room with a bag of crisps, popcorn, and some Maltesers. I pulled out This Is Us and handed it to him. A puzzled look came across his face. He sat the food down on the table and examined the case. He opened the case to see the DVD, and it was clearly This Is Us.

"Okay, uh. I don't know where I got this." Dan told me.

"Sure, sure. You so aren't in love with One Direction and stalk them secretly, I get it." I said to Dan in a sarcastic tone.

Dan got a little smirk on his face and said, "You're so sarcastic, I like it." I started to blush at his comment.

"I picked it up from a few people." I told him, referring to him and Sadie.

Dan put in the movie and I sat down on his small sofa, grabbing a blanket and the bag of crisps. When Dan hit play, he came over to the sofa and got under the blanket with me. I was leaning on him, and he was playing with my hands. He swiped his thumb over my knuckles. Then he did it again. He pulled my hand closer to his face, looking at my knuckles.

"Why are they scaring? What happened to your hand?" Dan asked me. I took my hand from his and looked at the marks that were scaring over, the memories flooded back to me.

"My ex cheated on me, so I kinda halfway beat the shit out of him." I told him.

"I knew he cheated on you, but I didn't know you beat the shit out of him." Dan said. I just nodded. We went back to watching the movie, but I wasn't really watching. I was thinking.

I'm fucking lucky. I finally met Dan, and he's a close friend of mine now I think. He was there for me and we weren't even friends then.

I looked at Dan, his big, brown eyes fixated onto the movie, occasionally eating a few Maltesers. His brown hair shone where as the setting sun's light hit it. When he smiled, he had that one dimple carved into his cheek. He was literally perfection to me, this was literally perfection.

I knew myself to fall for guys hard and fast. I tried not to, I really did. But, some things just don't happen. It's who I am.

"Can I lay in your lap?" Dan asked.

"Huh?" I mumbled, taken out of my thoughts.

"Can I lay in your lap? I want to lay down but, you're on the sofa, too."

"Oh, yeah, that's fine." I said. I put the bowl of popcorn on the coffee table and Dan moved around and he laid himself in my lap. After we sat in silence, Dan took my hand and put into on his head.

"I like people to play with my hair." He told me. I started to rub my hands through this hair.

This was it. Him laying in my lap on the couch, our eyes fixated on each other's as I was playing with his hair. Just then, his eyes flutter closed and I felt his locks between my fingers, I realized that I was really head over heels for him.
