I look up at him, his height reaching over half a foot taller than mine and he gently puts his hand up to my right cheek, caressing my cheekbones with his thumb. I close my eyes and I can feel our breath mix for a couple seconds before his soft, plump lips brush against mine. I move my lips forward to his, and his soft lips move in perfect sync to mine as he moves his lips in a smooth ryhthym.

I move my arm up around his neck, our breathing becoming slightly heavier, and just then we both stop, instantly moving away from each other as someone clears their throat.

I look over to the left to see Jess standing behind the island, looking dead at Kade and I.

"Jess, what are you—?"

"I came with some of my stuff, to begin moving in." She looks as if she's almost irritated with me, and I turn my head back to Kade.

"Ok well...Jus—nevermind." I sigh rubbing my eye annoyed.

"I should get going. It's late" He sighs very softly before looking back at me.

"Yeah, sorry. Maybe we could get together again this week. Discuss some more details for our Essay?" I ask
him and he nods with a sweet smile.

"Of course, just text me, even if you
don't need anything." He kisses my cheek lightly before heading out the door and thanking him once again for dinner.

"See you later Jess. Bye Gabby." He smiles at Jess and I.

He leaves and shuts the door and I can't help but smile a bit, while at the same time turning to Jess in anger.

"What is wrong with you? I mean seriously. You totally interrupted me in the middle of a hot makeout with Kade." I look at her in complete irritation.

"Believe me, it wasn't that hot from over here." She replies looking a little disguested.

"Oh my God. Do you want to die?" I could punch her right.

"Well actually, you two did look pretty good together, but still." I groan.

"Come on Jess. You've got to be kidding me right now." I whine angrily.

"Well, I mean...it can't be more awkward to have to stand in a kitchen and witness your bestfriend making out—very loudly, might I add."

"Ugh, just...nevermind." I face plant myself with my hand in frustration.

I let out a deep sigh and I attempt to head upstairs.

"Hey, I need to talk to you." Jess sounds somewhat eager.

"Yeah?" I walk over to her before she tucks a little bit of hair behind her ear.

"There is something important I need to tell you."

"Yeah?" Jess looks at me nervously, and I can tell by her sudden change in tone, something is wrong.

"Don't get up-"

"Spill it." I eagerly urge her, uninterested in her attenpt to comfort me before telling me whatever it is she wants to tell me.
