Suffocation

Chapter 7

Harry was in a room. It seemed to be a mixture of all the house colors. He saw five figures sitting. A woman was reading a book. A man, with a short brown beard, and blue eyes, turned to him.

"Ah Harry, It's nice to finally meet you. I'm glad to have you in my house." So this was Godric Gryffindor. He wore red robes with gold trimming. "You can call me Godric, there, in the green robes is Salazar Slytherin, the book lady with the braided black hair is Rowena Ravenclaw, The yellow robed woman is Helga Hufflepuff, and purple over here is Merlin Emrys. You can call us all by our first names." Godric explained, Salazar had green eyes much like Harry's, Rowena's were a dark blue, and Helga, had chocolate brown eyes and blonde hair. Merlin had brown hair, and blue eyes. Harry smiled at each of them. He wondered where he was and how he got there.

"This a dream world, and yes we can hear your thoughts. Here you will learn and train. There are certain skills we will help you to learn, such as sword fighting, occlumency, beast taming and ancient languages." Rowena explained, not looking up from her book, she was just like Hermione. "I also told you we would explain about your role in the school."

"As our heirs, you receive complete ownership of the castle and grounds. It will obey you, and will protect you should you ask for it, though it will require speaking, as the castle cannot read your thoughts. The room of requirement is also under your control." Salazar told him, Rowena looked from her book to shoot him a glare.

"The headmaster will not know of your heirship should you not wish for him too, although there will be signs and moments where he would get a small clue. Now being our heir also means you inherit the sword, locket, diadem and cup, which will turn into more suitable items." Helga finished, and the sword, cup, locket and diadem appeared. They began to glow. The sword was still a sword, though now it had a sheath. The diadem was now a crown like a prince's. These hadn't changed much, but the locket and cup had. The locket was now a pouch, that could clip on to belt, and the cup was now a travel potion bottle, equipped with a belt. Harry watched as the sword and it's sheath, along with the pouch clip to the belt. The diadem was placed in the pouch, which now clearly had an expansion charm.

"The sword shrinks to a stitch on the belt unless you need it, or wish for it to show. The bottle holds whatever liquid you decide, and holds as much as you pour in. The pouch has an expansion charm and will bring whichever item you need to the top. The crown does what it always did, but is now more to you liking." Merlin told him, he had been completely silent sitting by a window. Harry had forgotten he was there. Harry turned and faced him. "I will be teaching you about the wizarding politiques, as you inherit our seats in the wizengamot, as well as how to run a school and also more advanced magic." He was serious. (No I'm not doing that pun.) Harry wondered when this would take place. "This will take place every night as you sleep. You won't wake up tired, and there will be no nightmares." Harry sighed, suddenly the room went blurry,

"Our time is up, when we start training we will have more time. Tomorrow night, you begin occlumency." Helga told him, and the next thing Harry saw was the Gryffindor common room. He opened his eyes to see the belt equipped with the pouch and potion bottle. Harry stood, and stretched. He then grabbed his clothes and changed in the bathroom. He exited fully dressed to find his roommates changing for breakfast. Ron saw him.

"Hey Harry, wh-" he cut himself off before he asked a question, Harry could tell he had forgotten for a moment that he couldn't talk. Harry smiled reassuringly, and walked to his trunk. He looked at the belt. You should put it on. Helga, Harry could tell through the obvious care in her voice, Rowena's voice sounded a lot like Hermione's kind with a know-it-all undertone. Godric was always boisterous and happy, while Salazar was proud, but not snobbish, and he sounded caring, kind of grandfatherly. Merlin was kind and caring, yet shut it and cut off, his voice was deeper. Draco, I'm going to send you some information, some memories you should know. He received an alert nod. Harry replayed the night before in his mind, sending it to Draco. When he was finished, Harry heard Draco in his mind. Don't worry, I know you'll be fine, and I know you'll do well. Also, those items will come in handy. Harry couldn't help but agree.

"Harry?" Ron asked, Harry turned, "Are you okay? You were kind of staring off into space." Harry nodded and smiled reassuringly, he liked not having to talk, it allowed him to not remember the Dursley's or Jones. The redhead, and the brunette, walked down into the common room, and met up with Hermione, who was as always reading a book. I like her. He heard Rowena's voice say,

"You boys up already? Well let's go then." The trio walked down to the great hall. They sat down and ate, as Professor McGonagall handed out time tables. When she reached the trio,

"Ah Mr. Potter, unfortunately due to your condition, I thought that perhaps you wouldn't want to be the quidditch team captain, you will still remain on the team, but captain will be given to someone else. Harry nodded understandingly. He looked up and pointed at Ginny. McGonagall smiled,

"I was thinking the same thing. Also the staff have been informed of your condition." Harry nodded, and watched as McGonagall walked up to Ginny and told her the news, and he watched Ginny's face light up. He looked down at his time table.

Fourth Period: Free Period
