"Babe you know it's not like that. Of course I want to live with you but I think it's important that you and Callie work on your relationship and have as much alone time as possible. That's important because I know you. If we all live here you will try to take care of everyone and stretch yourself too thin. I know you babe."
"Fuck you do know me." I chuckled.
"Of course. Now we have plenty of time to work on us and plenty of time to plan a wedding and get married because I'm not going anywhere ever again Stefanie Adams Foster."
"I'm not going anywhere ever again either Lena Adams Foster."
"Good." She said letting out an awkward laugh.
"What are you laughing about?"
"My stupidity. Sometimes I can't believe how dumb I was to marry Monte thinking I was doing the right thing or whatever. It's crazy how I thought I could get over you and not be with you ever. I mean when I look at you now I get excited every single time just like I did when we were younger. There was just something about you that drew me in like a magnet. You were the only person who ever really knew me, who knew me deep down in side. Sure we argued alot growing up but I think it was because we were so young and stubborn."
"I will definititly agree we were young and stubborn baby. So now you think we are old and wise?" I chuckled.
"I hope we are wiser then we were!"
"I think we are my love. But I have to tell you, you were always easy for me to understand from day when one when I found you in the bathroom crying because some jackass put gum in that beautiful hair of yours."
"Oh gosh you remember that!"
"Of course I do. I thought you were so cute and sweet and even then I wanted to take care of you. But you were scared of me." I laughed as she did as well.
"I wasn't scared of you, you just made me nervous. I never knew anyone like you before. I wasn't sure if you were going to beat me up."
"Ha! Never. Kiss you yes but beat you up never. I liked you." I winked.
"I liked you too baby."
"So tell me love how is it going. You haven't said much about Monte. She still giving you hell with this divorce?"
"Not so much anymore. It helps that she got the job at Jefferson but for sometime she was very persistent about getting back together. For whatever reason. I think it was my mother's influence to be honest."
"Hell, I can't blame Monte for wanting you back. I'd never want to give you up baby. But I'm sure both her and your mother have a bounty over my head." I joked again as Lena shook her head.
"You are such a jokester. And no one has a bounty over your head babe. If they did I'd find out and take care of them."
"I bet you would you and your little sexy feisty ass." I said smacking it as she busted out laughing.
"You are too much baby!"
"You love it!" She said as we continued to unpack a few more boxes seeing we only had a few hours left.
"Stef, I'm really happy for you in terms of Captain Roberts wanting to adopt you. I think it's really sweet."
"Yeah. I mean it's hard to believe that after all these years it's happening. But to be honest I'm happy about it. I love her Lena."
"I know you do babe. I can tell. She really became your mother and I can see her influence on you."
"That she did babe."
