"True love never dies, it only gets stronger with time. Thank you."
Dahyun recited the last sentence of her poem, and heaved a huge sigh of relief before bowing and walking off the stage.
"Dahyun!" Yeri shouted happily. It was easy to recognise her voice and spot her as she was jumping about so much that everyone around her had formed a circle around her, in effort of avoiding getting smacked in the head.
"I'm so glad this is over," Dahyun told her when they exited the theatre. "I had been so worried that I couldn't sleep last night!"
Yeri laughed. "Well, you sure did a good job, my buddy. You should be a poet when you grow up!"
Dahyun playfully glared at her. "I don't want to sit indoors all day and write poems that even I don't like to read," she said, shaking her head.
"Alright then, my poet. Let's go and have our lunch now shall we?" Yeri said in a joking manner as she draped her arm around Dahyun's shoulder.

"Dahyun, you did such a great job!"
"You're really pretty, Dahyun."
"Would you like to hangout some day?"
Yeri snickered whenever someone dropped by their table to compliment Dahyun. Even the 'cool' clique had passed by their table just to ask Dahyun for her social media account.
Not the queenkas though.
"Aww, it seems like someone is popular now? Don't forget me when you're surrounded by fans, Dahyunnie," Yeri cooed while doing some aegyo.
"Yah! I'm not famous, Yeri!" Dahyun hissed as she smacked Yeri's head softly.
"Well of course you're not. Who do you think you are? One poem and you want to be famous? Not so easy Daehun."
Dahyun turned to look. In front of her was the school's queenka, Nara.
"It's Dahyun, Nari," Dahyun remarked, even though that mistake was on purpose.
Nara looked as though she almost wanted to say that Dahyun's not popular enough for her to remember her name, but because of Dahyun's little 'mistake', she could not come up with a good comeback so she just left. With a hair flip.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. I guess you should be careful from now on, Daehun," Yeri said before bursting into laughter.
All Dahyun could do was to roll her eyes and finish off her plate of food.
***
It was already half past four. School ended an exact hour ago. Dahyun, who had to finish up her school project decided to finish it in school before going home so that she could enjoy her weekends. Irene unni would understand. Finally, after an hour of hard work, she was done with it so she headed towards the hallway to put her books back into her locker.
By the time she reached her locker, she had an uneasy feeling but she couldn't find anything that wasn't right. Sure enough, when she opened her locker door, she heard a lot of footsteps and soon she found herself being lifted up into the air and shoved inside her tight locker.
"Yah!" Dahyun shouted when she was finally standing on her feet again. She turned around just in time to see the queenka outside her locker door, with a sinister look on her face as she slammed the locker door shut.
Click. Now she's locked inside her locker. Who ever invented lockers that are so big that they could fit a teenager in it?
"Yah!" Dahyun screamed again, pounding again the locker door. To her surprise, it made an indent on her locker door. The school probably used really cheap materials for the lockers. Dahyun could only keep pounding on the door, until the point where the door looked like it was going to burst open, she stopped.
"My phone! Where is it?" Dahyun thought as she searched her pockets. It's not there. She then smacked her forehead. She must have left it in the library! She slapped her forehead lightly again. Her goldfish memory had to ruin her life. Feeling devastated, she leaned against the back of the locker, and slid down to a comfortable position, so her feet was pushing the bottom of the locker.
Bang! The locker just flung open and Dahyun almost lost her balance. Luckily, she managed to stop herself from falling on her butt. Dahyun stared at her locker door for five whole seconds, then shook her head. The school should seriously rethink the security of their lockers. She found her padlock lying nearby, and it was broken. This was the sixth time she broke her padlock. She had always wanted to buy more expensive ones, but her pocket money told her otherwise.
After getting her phone from the library, she started to run home, because she knew that Irene unni would be worried about her. While she was running, she texted her godmother that she would be home in ten minutes.
The sky was starting to turn dark, which seemed reasonable, because she must have been in that locker for a really long time as she could feel all the oxygen inside the locker being used up. If she had claustrophobia she would have fainted by now.
When Dahyun entered the dark alley, which is a short cut to her house, she felt something following her. A couple of times she turned around but there wasn't anyone, or anything there. After walking a few more steps, Dahyun swore that she could hear someone breathing behind her. This time, when she turned, she immediately screamed because there was someone who was wearing an oversized black hoodie standing behind her.
The mysterious person immediately pinned her against the wall and pushed Dahyun's head to one side, so her neck was showing. Dahyun did not even have time to defend herself before she felt an intense sharp pain in her neck. She tried screaming but nothing would come out of her mouth.
Soon, the pain slowly faded away. Dahyun's vision turned blurry but she could make out the person slowly backing away and running off. Eventually, her eyes closed and Dahyun collapsed on the floor.

"Dahyun! Are you alright?"
Dahyun slowly opened her eyes. Her vision got clearer and clearer. She's home.
"Irene unni?" She asked, as she tried to sit up. Her hands reached for her neck but she felt nothing there. No wounds. Had it all been a dream?
Irene was sitting by her side on the edge of the bed.
"Dahyun, last night after you sent the message, you didn't show up for four whole hours! I was worried sick, so I went out to find you. I figured that you would use the shorter way to get home since you're already late," Irene said. "When I saw you, you were already lying on the floor! I immediately called Jungkook to help me carry you home."
"Wait," Dahyun blinked. "Jungkook was here?"
"He just went home, honey. I'm not young anymore, I couldn't carry you all the way home. He was the one who piggybacked you home."
Dahyun found herself smiling to herself. Too bad she had been unconscious all the time. It would be good to feel herself on Jungkook's back.
"Yah, stop daydreaming. You should rest more today, Dahyun," Irene said before standing up and leaving her bedroom.
Dahyun sighed before getting out of bed to wash her face. She noticed that her gums felt numb. However, she just shrugged it off and started to wash her face. It was all normal until she was done with washing her face and wiping her face dry. When she was about to put the towel away, she took one glance at her reflection in the mirror and screamed loudly.
Her eyes were green.
