"I know how that is." He nods with a wide grin.
"This is Jess. She's basically my sister, might as well be my roomie." I introduce the two of them and they shake hands.
"Nice to meet you." He gestures her with a wave and she does the same.
"So, shall we?" I smile at him and he nods in reply.
"Yeah, of course."
"Have fun." Jess smiles before heading ino his vehicle.
"Bye."
----
The light had ceased outside, but the music could be heard from the turn around the corner as we parked along the side of the driveway.
"Ever been to a college party?" He asks me as we get out.
"No. Just—a highschool one. That was only once." My heart sinks at the memory of my first and last highschool party I've attended.
Nash.
My chest feels rather heavy and I sigh a bit, trying to bury the memories.
"Well, college parties are even better." He smiles before opening the door, releasing the sound waves blaring in the enclosed air.
I follow behind Kade, and he instantly recognizes a friend near the door.
"Kade! Bro what's up?" His light brown hair is spiked back, also tall—near Kade's height. He turns to me and grins.
"Hey, I'm Jordan!" He chirps before embracing me in a small hug..
"Gabby." The loud, blaring, music forces us to raise our voices as we communicate.
"Freshman?" He talks in my ear.
"Yeah." I nod.
"That's why I hadn't remembered you." He smiles.
"Easy." Kade eyes him and Jordan chuckles.
Kade takes my hand and leads me around the several groups of people, Stopping every moment or so to be introduced by other people.
Majority of them are everything but freshman, and some aren't even in college.
The blaring music vibrates against the walls, mostly songs I know. The dancing crowd fills the living room of the frat house.
Continuing to take hold of my hand, Kade guides me around the heated bodies surrounding us, and smoothly turns his body around to face me.
He leans down to me, and whispers into my ear.
"Do you want to dance?" I smile and nod.
"Yeah."

Jessica's POV
I sigh, throwing the keys on the couch as I walk inside my living room.
"I'm home!" I call for Hayes, proceeding to the fridge to grab a water.
"Hey." I hear Hayes' low voice from behind me, turning around and shutting the fridge with my free hand.
His eyes are bright red, and hair is shuffled around on his head.
"What's wrong?"
"Nash just called." He puts his hand over his face, sighing.
"He sounds so bad. He's a complete wreck." He adds as he rubs his eyes.
"Have you told Gabby anything?" I shake my head.
"She has no idea. She's out at a party."
"Good, she needs to do something for herself."
I nod, not knowing how to react.
Hayes looks like a mess too, he's not drinking but he's the picture of depression.
I walk over to him, embracing him, and he quickly pulls me in his arms.
"I love you." I've never known him to cry. I run my hand in the back of his hair, the way I know he loves for me to.
"And I love you." He replies, and I feel a small tear fall on my shoulder.
The pain tugs at my hair, wishing I could do something to make all of this go away. Including fix Gabby. She doesn't show it, other than staying asleep, keeping herself at home and rarely going out. I'm glad she's going out, finally listening to me.

Gabby's POV
Kade and I pull up in my driveway, concluding the end of our night, and I turn my head to smile at him.
"That was fun." He sighs satisfyingly with a smile, befre turning off his car.
"Yeah, I had a great time."
"Me too." He agrees.
"Thanks for going. You're pretty upbeat." A grin tugs at my lips.
"Of course, it was no problem. We'll hang out more." I turn to him and he smiles.
A moment more passes as he looks at me, and for a second I almost think he's going to kiss me.
Instead, he delicately takes his hand on my cheek and moves his head to the side, then kisses my cheek.
I grin wide, and then he lays back on his seat with a smile.
"I'll see you later." I blush.
"Bye. Have a good night."
"You too." I say my farewell and head into my house.
I open my clutch, grabbing my keys and have a missed call from Jess.
I shut off my screen, and push the keys into the locks and Vuahlah!
I rip the heels off my feet and throw them on the floor, shutting my door and locking it.
I call Jess, as it rings I unzip my dress to take it off.
"Hello?"
"Hey. Will you soend the night?" I ask her for her company, feeling lonely.
She sounds off to me, Jess would be bombarding me horrendously with questions.
"Yeah, I'll be there in a bit."
