"I broke up with my wife for her. I left her." Lena spit out.
"I'm sure you did. Let go of the guilt Lena. It's ok. You are a good person and one is perfect. Honestly I have never seen anyone look at my daughter the way you do and I have never seen her look at anyone the way she looks at you. Go with that."
"I can see why she loves you so much." Lena said wiping her tears.
"I have my moments." she laughed as did Lena.
"She does. When Sharon died she, she never got over that. Ever. Nothing killed her as much as that and the fact that she calls you mom she told me she would never call anyone that ever again. That says alot about you."
For the first time Cap had tears form in her own eyes as she looked to Stef who was busily working on her computer.
"I wanted to adopt her. But I wasn't sure if she wanted that being she is an adult."
Upon hearing this Lena could see the shyness form in Caps face as she looked so sensitive as her eyes remained on Stef's. It was true Cap had wanted to adopt Stef for years but wasn't sure if as an adult she wanted it. She also knew Sharon had wanted to but never got the chance and didn't want to cause her daughter any pain. There had been many nights Stef had cried in her arms after having a nightmare over Sharon and it was the one thing she couldn't take the pain away about. There were still times she had to hold Stef on the few occasions she did stay over for the blonde still struggled with nightmares.
"I think you should and I don't think you are ever too old. Stef always wanted, well she always wanted a family as long as I have known her. I tired to get my parents to foster her when we were little and even after Sharon passed but my mother she, well she hates her. Always has. I don't think she would say no." Lena encouraged.
"Maybe. You have given me something to think about Lena. And I can see why my daughter loves you so much. You are a true gem." She smiled softly as the slim woman returned it as well.
"What do you think about her and Callie? It's going to be a long road." Lena admitted now looking back to Stef and Callie as the young teen looked more irritated then ever as Stef bossed her around.
"It will come along. I know it seems like it's hell right now and I am sure it is but it will happen. They just need alot of time and understanding. Callie is not in the best place mentally but she will be with time. She has a ton of support."
"I wish we could do more for her. I understand her anger. I really do."
"We all do and the situation was unfortunate. But it does happen. Thankfully Stef was able to get her rights back even if it's just temporary right now. But I will say looking at Callie is like looking at Stef. The stubbornness is unreal."
"Goodness I know. I didn't think there could be two Stef's walking around." Lena laughed as did Cap.
"Oh believe me it is possible. But let me get to work and it was a pleasure meeting you Lena. Don't be a stranger."
"I won't and it was so nice to meet you too."

STEF POV
"What the heck does it even matter what order they are in." Callie complained as I handed her another pile of folders and she looked even more irritated at me then before.
"Because I said and that's how it works here. Either do it right or start over from the beginning. Your choice."
"You keep saying I have a choice. Clearly I don't. All you do is control me and bark orders."
