Chapter 20

Max's Pov-

"I love you my precious mate." I whispered into Charity's ear.

I couldn't help but smile at my little mate sleeping in my arms. I never knew I would be able to have a soft spot left in my heart, but turns out I do, and it's all for her.

After a few minutes, I heard her soft snores, and decided I would carry her back to the pack.

I gently sat up, as to not wake her, and when I sat up, her head was resting on my shoulder and her arms were wrapped around my neck. I decided I would grab the blanket and basket later, so I just when on my way carrying her in my arms.

As I was about to enter the house, I felt her stir, and with her right hand she rubbed her eyes and had a puzzled look on her face. But when she saw me she smiled and realization dawned on her.

"Did you really carry me all the way to the house while I was asleep?" She asked with a raspy sleepy voice that was so adorable.

"Yes princess, I did." I said chuckling.

"Oh." She said and then rested her head back on my shoulder as I brought her inside. "So what are we gonna do now?" She asked as I sat down on the couch while she was still in my arms.

"Anything you want, it's already 3:00, but we could go to the park, or take a walk, or run in our wolf forms..." I said suggesting things to do.

"Um... can we take a walk around the pack? Sofia took me out to show me around, but we only made it to the pack house to see the children and I didn't see anything else cause I got so distracted." She giggled. "I didn't even set foot inside the pack house."

Her giggle was literal gold and music to my ears.

"Okay that sounds perfect." I said as I kissed her forehead. "Maybe we could get you some clothes too, I know Hope can dress you into anything, but we can get you a few other things too." I said with a smile.

"Okay." She said. And then she sat up and got off of me, and I then stood up and grabbed her hand, and we walked out the front door, and walked down the path to the rest of the pack.

Charity's Pov-

As we walked, Max's hand was in mine and I couldn't help but smile with pleasure.

"So all these houses down these rows are the houses of all the pack. Now the pack house," Max said pointing to the pack house, "is the place where meetings are held and it also is used as a place for the pups to eat lunch, rooms inside are also used for people who come visit the pack or new pack members can stay there until they get a home, and it's also like a hangout place, it is really just a multiple purpose place." Max said as I nodded it looked and sounded much nicer than my old pack's pack house.

Soon we walked closer and I could see a few of the pups running around and when they saw us, the instantly ran over to us. A few even gave me hugs.

"Hello Luna, hello Alpha." They all said in unison with big smiles on their faces.

"Are you here to play with us?" The little girl, Evelyn, I remembered, asked excitedly.

"Not today, I was gonna show the Luna around the pack house." Max said.

"Ooh can we go too?" A little boy with light blonde hair and pale skin who was about eight asked.

"Sure, but first what are all of your names and your ages?" I asked. Today there was only seven of them instead of twenty or so like last time.

The little boy who had asked spoke first.

"I'm Tommy and I'm Eight." He said smiling. "Oh and this is Katie my sister." He said pointing to a little girl with blonde hair in pig tails who stayed close to him. "She is four."

"I'm Noah and I'm seven." Another little boy said, he was quite short and had longish black hair and green eyes with olive skin.

"I'm Evelyn, and I'm four." Evelyn said holding up four fingers shyly.

"I'm Trevor and I'm six." A little Asian boy with short black hair said while sucking on one of his fingers.

"I'm Daniel and this is Darcy my twin." Daniel said, and the twins both had dark skin and looked very much alike the only difference was the fact that Daniel was a head taller than Darcy and also Darcy had long straight dark hair while his was kept short.

"We are both eight  like Tommy." Darcy said.

"It's nice to meet all of you." I smiled big. "Are you guys gonna help show me around the pack house?" I asked.

They all nodded yes in unison and it was so cute.

"Okay guys let's show Luna around." Max said with a small smile.

We then all walked up the stairs of the porch and walked inside. When we got in there, there were a few teenagers who were probably around my age sitting in a living room type room watching tv, and all their heads turned  to look at us.

Immediately one of them muted the tv, incase Max wanted to say something. They looked kinda scared. It was interesting how a bunch of little kids weren't scared of him, but all these grown teenagers did look scared.

"Hello Alpha." They all said in unison with the upmost respect. Then they turned to look at me. "Hello Luna." They said just as respectfully. Their greeting was not at all as happy and excited as the pups were.

"Good afternoon. I've just be showing the Luna around the pack, feel free to keep doing what your doing." Max said and then turned to look at me, and I just waved at the teens, and they soon were facing back to the tv.

"So that was basically a living room, I'm sure you guessed and over here is the kitchen." Max said.

"Look Luna! Someone made cookies!" Noah yelled excitedly. And sure enough there was a plate of chocolate chip cookies on the counter.

"Can we have one?" Trevor asked with a huge smile. I then saw that all the kids looked at me pleadingly.

"I don't see why not, how bout we all have one, what do you think Alpha?" I asked winking as I said Alpha.

"Sounds good to me." Max said grinning.

Soon I got milk poured for all of us, and we all sat down at the table and each ate a cookie. The cookies were delicious.

"Can we have another one?" Tommy asked with a huge pleading smile.

"Please?" Evelyn piped up.

"We don't want to spoil our dinners now do we?" I said tickling her tummy.

"Speaking of which, you guys should start heading home before it gets too late." Max said.

"Okay!" They all said in unison. "Thanks for the cookies Alpha and Luna!!" They said with huge grins and ran out of the house.

I looked out the window and saw them running as a group then soon dispersed into the different directions of their houses.

I then turned my attention to Max and saw that he already staring at me.

"Why do you do that?" I asked giggling.

"Do what?" He asked confused.

"Stare at me. It's quite creepy." I chuckled and playfully pushed his arm.

"I can't help it. You're just so beautiful." He said with a wink and pecked my cheek.
