"Hope you had a good night's sleep Nash." He draws in my attention and I look up at him.

"Figured while Katherine takes Gabby shopping with her, the two of us could go fishing? The coast isn't far from here. Maybe an hour and a half tops. Give us some time to get to know each other a bit more." He looks at me as if waiting for my approval.

"Sounds good by me." I smile.

Although I'm certain I look like I'm having a seizure while trying to keep my eyes open, I'm hoping it'll show him how much I care about Gabby.

"It's a quarter till 8, do you maybe want to try leaving by 9 or 9:30?" He grabs plates out for us on the counter in front of us and I nod.

"I should be ready by then."

He distributes even amounts of eggs and bacon on all of our plates, and reminds me where the cups and drinks are.

I get up, walking over to the cabinet to obtain a medium-sized mug, and proceed to pour me a cup of coffee then putting in some creamer and sugar.

We all remain quiet while we gobble down our breakfast and take gulps of our beverages in-between.

By the time we're finished it's barely five after, and I head back upstairs.

I find Gabby the same way I left her, if it weren't for seeing her chest rise and fall, I could've mistaken her as dead.

I walk over to the foot of the bed and gently tug at her toes and she quickly rejects them, move her legs back.

She groans and I chuckle.

Scooting in from the side, I lay down, facing her and getting close to her.

"Gabbyyyy....." I playfully whisper to her.

"Mmmm." She barely groans sleepish in reply, and I recognize her attempts of paying no attention to me.

She used to do this to me all the time when we together in highschool. She'd act like I wasn't there when I'd desperately try waking her to get out of bed.

"Gabby, come on." I plead and I feel her lazy hand move over, feeling the bed for moment and over the pillow, as if searching for something. She finally getting plants her hand over my entire face while the rest of her continues to sleep.

I laugh a little, still frustrated by her stubborness. I move her hand away from my face, and chose the last resort.

"I hate to do this. Really, but you've left me no choice Winston." I playfully tease her with her last name.

She still sets there.

Wow, surprisingly she didn't reply. She should no by now if she doesn't wake up I'll tickle her, which Gabby labels a form of torture.

Right before I wiggling my fingers against her side she speaks groggily.

"Please don't tickle me."

I groan in irritation.

"I'm going fishing with your Uncle in an hour." I sigh, plopping back in defeat.

She turns and collapses half of her body onto mine, trying to restrain me.

"Stay here." She whines, and I groan.

"I'm tired too, but I want to get to know him better. And he does too, obviously or else he wouldn't be taking me to Florida."

"We should've planned to go to Panama after this." She says still resting her head on me.

"Yeah, that would've been fun." I agree with her and sigh, running my fingers through her long, dark mahogany hair.

"I'll take you one day." I promise her and I can feel the smile on her lips.

She moves her head to look at me and she grins at me.

"I love you." I smile.

"I love you too, baby." I give her a passionate kiss, cupping her cheek and move my lips in sync to hers.

We're broken off with a knock on the door.

Gabby moves off of me, and lays on her side.

"Yeah?" She asks.

I can't help but laugh a little at her sudden act of laying low.

"Gabby, I'm taking you shopping in an hour, be ready. Your Uncle Fred made breakfast for everyone. He's taking Nash fishing, so it'll just be us." Katherine opens the door and Gabby asks about Dalton.

"He's going somewhere with friends." She replies and Gabby nods.

"Okay, I'll be ready." She smiles and Katherine and I exchange "Good Mornings."

She leaves us and I look back at Gabby.

"I'm gonna get ready. Need a shower." She sighs before giving me a quick peck on the lips and getting out of bed.

"Okay." I smile at her and get up as well, stretching.

-----

Fred and I load up his black Dodge Ram, with supplies and different rods.

I grab two tackle boxes, and shut the tailgate.

"I believe we're good to go." He smiles.

The ride is nothing more than small talk and discussing our experience with previous fishing trips we've had, as well as places we've fished at.

"I used to fish with my dad a lot. He just can't do it much anymore." He sighs, and I can sense the pain in his voice.

"Gabby doesn't speak of him." I reply, in wander.

Really, Gabby doesn't speak much of any of her family.

"Really? She loves her Grandpa Baker. Can't seperate the two of them. He stayed with Katherine and Gabby after my sister passed." He looks to the left side of the road, as if he has the nee to hide himself.

"I'm really sorry." I apologize with sympathy.

He doesn't move much, instead he continues, "I couldn't quite put my finger on it. She stayed a wreck for such a long time and wanted to be on her on after highschool. Even a few months before Sarah passed away, she wouldn't barely talk to anyone. Her mom was worried sick about her. After the accident, Gabby wouldn't leave the house. She stayed so stuck in bed at home and wouldn't hardly go anywhere. Katherine thought the world of Gabby, and she didn't hesitate to stay with her. I wanted to go take care of Gabby, but I couldn't leave the roofing business behind. Otherwise, I would've been there in a heartbeat. We thought it would be better to let her stay in North Carolina, so she could keep going to school there. Haven't seen her in a while, but she looks happy." I smile toward the end, but majority of his information has me on the verge of tears.

Gabby had been through so much, and I never asked her about it, I guess eventually I thought she'd tell me all of it. Still, she never told me about her family, or spoke much of them.
