Kabanata 33| Hangganan

It's been a month simula nung makita ko si Bea at Ennajie na magkasama. Yung tipong ramdam mo na may nagbabago pero walang kang magawa kundi tanggapin na lang lahat.

Balik training nanaman kami. Nasa love-hate-love-hate-hate-hate relationship nanaman kami ni Coach Tai. But there's one thing I love the most, Coach Tai will never make you feel na he's doubting your capabilities and skills.

Naiwan kami ni Ate Ly sa blue eagles gym. Siya lang magisa ang nagliligpit kasi siguro dahil may lakad mga batchmates niya pati mga rookies.

"Ate Ly? Pwede ka ba makausap?" Tanong ko sa kanya.

Nginitian naman niya ako. "Sure, baby fly."

Huminga ako ng malalim. "Will you get mad at me if ever na umalis ako sa team?"

Gulat niya akong tiningnan. "Ha? I didn't heard it right yata baby?"

Yumuko ako. "Ate Ly, I was thinking about my early exit in UAAP."

Nilapitan ako ni Ate Ly. "Bakit? Iiwan mo din ba ako kagaya ng pag-iwan nila sakin noon?"

"Not like that, Ate Ly." Wika ko. "There's this one university in Cali, they're looking for a scholar.. and Dean Mauricio, submitted my name."

"And you're qualified?"

"Yes, Ate Ly.."

She smiled at me. "I'm proud of you."

I hugged her. "If ever man na, I exit will you still be my dada?"

She hugged me back. "You'll always be my favorite daughter."

"I wish na sana maintindihan nila ako." I sighed.

Ginulo ni Ate Ly buhok ko. "We'll make them understand. I'll be there for you, okay?"

I nodded. Tinuloy na namin ni Ate Ly yung paglilinis. Bigla akong nakaramdam ng kaba. Actually, kaninang umaga ko pa 'to nararamdaman. Pilit kong inalis dahil mawawala ako sa focus.

When Ate Ly and I was about to enter our dorm, may narinig kami sa may garden na nagtatawanan kaya we went out ulit. Pero sana hindi na lang.

Ennajie and her teammates was there. They set up a surprise, maybe for Bea. Dumating si Bea kasama yung ibang teammates namin.

"Surprise, Bae!!" Ennajie exclaimed. "Happy first month!"

I was caught off guard. Hindi ko alam kung tatakbo ba ako paalis o iiyak o papalakpak. Ate Ly held my hand tightly. I looked at her, and she looked at me.

"Mads.."

"I'm okay, Ate Ly."

Yes, I'm okay. I'm already numb. Isang buwan ko na pong alam.

"Ennajie!" Sigaw ni Bea. "What's this?!"

"Bae, it's our monthsary!"

"Damn it, Jie!"

"What the hell is this, Bea?!" Ate Amy shouted. "What about Maddie?!"

"Uhm, excuse po." Ennajie said. "Bea and I are in a relationship po."

"Please, shut up." Bea interrupted.

"Is that true Bea?!" Ate Amy asked.

Mabilis na dinaluhan ni Ate Ly si Ate Amy. Sumunod din naman ako kaagad ako. I held ate Amy's hand.

"What, Bea?!"

"B-babe.." She called me. "L-let me explain, please."

"Don't!" Ate Amy said. "You're a jerk!"
