Why on earth would a person use media (photos/videos) at the top of each (or in the middle of a) chapter?
Well, it can add a more engaging feature onto the chapter.
What exactly could be used?
- A picture of a character (whether it is a real life actor or a drawing/cartoon).
- A video that helps relate to the chapter.
- A song that you feel really connect to the chapter.
- Find an image that can also connect to a subject in the chapter, it doesn't have to be a character or even a house/building, bit could just be a related scene in the book etc.
All these can help the readers get a better image of the story in their head, they can get a better view of the characters and the scene that the story is played in, this can help the reader gain a whole new perspective and it can really enhance the experience they have with your book, again which can really help you gain more votes, meaning you get discovered a lot easier!
