Nya's POV

That serpentine's harsh scaly hand was holding mine behind my back, and keeping me on my knees, as another one had a sword posed on my neck.

I closed my eyes and stopped squirming. It's no use anyway.

All of a sudden, I felt his tight grip
letting me go.

I opened my eyes to see..

No.

Fire was everywhere, just like my dream. But it only targeted the anacondrai, without harming us people.

And the source of these flames were definitely no one else but..

Kai.

I felt tears forming in my eyes.

This can't be true.

It's just another nightmare, right?
I'll wake up now, and everything will be alright.

But it's not a nightmare, is it?

I was still on my knees, starring at my brother, at the serpentine running away, and at the speechless guards.

I heared a voice yelling at the guards. "What are you waiting for? Get him!"

I just watched helplessly as a bunch of soldiers surrounded my brother and shackled him.

I looked at the ground with wide eyes.

Why?

Why is this happening?

Why did he do that?

That just can't be happening!

Tears dropped from my eyes as he was walking past me.

I stretched an arm and held his tightly, not wanting to let him go away.

"Why?" I whispered.

He smiled sadly at me, and ran his fingers threw my hair.

One of the guards pushed him forwards roughly, and my grip on him loosened.

Why?

I would rather be killed by those serpentine than watch him die this way!

I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Jay.
"Nya, look.."

I didn't want to hear any words of comfort. I just buried my face in his chest and cried.
His arms wrapped around me, and he was started stroking my back.

It's all over now.

3rd person's POV

--- Later this night ---

A muscular figure was laying lifelessly on the cold hard ground in one of the darkest cells under the castle.

Kai's POV

Every single muscle in my body hurts.

I kept my eyes closed. There's nothing to see here anyway.

You know what hurt the most? The cuts that whip left on my back.

I opened my eyes at the sound of the cell door opening.
I can't tell who is that from the darkness, but the silhouette seems pretty small and feminin for a guard.

The figure bent next to me on her knees.
That was when I remarked her red hair.

"Kai!"
